The reporter learned from the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute that in accordance with the concept of "instant excavation and instant exhibition", the latest archaeological achievements will be exhibited at the fastest speed, and the excavation project of the ancient tomb group in Laiwu District, which ended in November 2021, has been preliminarily sorted out and has been exhibited at the Jinan Archaeological Museum.

The ancient tomb group of Kouzhen in Laiwu District is the first excavation project of Jinan Archaeological Research Institute in Laiwu District, creating several firsts. For example, the number of patterned bricks found at one time is the first time in Jinan, and the first time it is found that a variety of patterned brick masonry is used in a tomb, which is also rare in Shandong Province. The excavated pattern bricks are rich in style and rich content, and the boju bricks are laid on the ground for the first time in Jinan. The moon image composed of the seven stars of the Big Dipper, as well as the jade rabbit and the golden toad, indicates that the story system of the Moon Palace had been formed during the Wei and Jin dynasties at the end of the Han Dynasty. A large number of car and horse travel portrait bricks appear densely, which is relatively rare in Shandong. In particular, the first appearance of the dragon pattern image shows the image of the stage of the Chinese dragon totem in the development process.
In order to better protect this batch of precious pattern bricks, the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute has taken various measures to strengthen and relocate the well-preserved tomb wall as a whole, retain more original information, and display the clear and complete pattern bricks and other excavated cultural relics in the Jinan Archaeological Museum at the fastest speed, adding new content to the exhibition and facilitating the audience to understand the latest local archaeological achievements for the first time.
Coincidentally, in conjunction with the excavation of the old village renovation project of Ping'andian Village in Changqing District, the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute also found a large brick chamber tomb in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, which is equivalent to the brick chamber tomb era found in the ancient tomb group of Kou Town, Laiwu District, and the main wall tiles and paving bricks are sun-patterned green bricks, and the northern half of the rear chamber paving tiles are also engraved with the Ji language "Dajichang". The discovery of two large brick chamber tombs marks the discovery of a new Han tomb shape in the Jinan area. All the patterned bricks are regular in shape and dense in material, which also reflects the superb level of pottery making technology in Jinan at that time. In order to facilitate the audience to visit and study, the staff of Jinan Archaeological Research Institute restored part of the brick wall in the Jinan Archaeological Museum, and citizens and tourists can visit it.
