On January 11, the China automobile sales data of the Association showed that Tesla delivered 70,847 vehicles in December, breaking into the camp of 70,000 monthly sales of pure electric vehicles. Previously, Tesla announced that the total delivery volume in 2021 was 936,000 units. Among them, the annual delivery volume of Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory was 484,130 units, an increase of 235% year-on-year, accounting for 51.7% of the global total.

Among them, the Shanghai Gigafactory contributed more than 160,000 units to the off-sea market delivery, meeting the needs of more than 10 countries such as Europe and Asia, and the export volume of the Model 3 alone in 2021 has exceeded 130,000 units. At the same time, model Y has exceeded the market size of 200,000 units since it was delivered in the Chinese market for one year.

According to the plan, in order to further enhance the delivery capacity, Tesla will expand the production of the Shanghai Gigafactory, and its new plant in Brandenburg, Germany, will also be put into operation, and plans to produce 500,000 electric vehicles per year. According to Soochow Securities, Tesla's effective production capacity will be about 1.6 million units in 2021, and its production capacity will be further expanded to 2.45 million units in 2022.

In October 2021, Musk proposed at Tesla's 2021 annual general meeting of shareholders that "20 million vehicles will be sold annually in 2030", according to which it is estimated that Tesla will maintain a sales growth of 43% in the next 9 years to achieve this goal.
