The River card hit three but was knocked out, and Tony G perfectly demonstrated textbook-level bluffing

This hand comes from Super Bowl High Roller Europe Event #7, a $100K short hand buy-in. At this point, the number of chips in Tony G and Paul Phua is not much different, but the latter is slightly more.

Before the flop

At this point, the blind level is 50K/100K, the button bit Paul Phua uses 109 to 220K, and Tony G does a very loose defense with J7. Pot size: $440,000

Flop circle

Flop issued 8K7, very interesting cards, Phua listened to both ends straight, Tony G hit the bottom pair.

Phua c-bet 270K, Tony G quickly raised to 800K, Phua call. So, the pot was made $2,040,000.

Turn the deck

The transfer was issued 10 and Phua was in the lead, but he chose to pass the card, and Tony G then passed the card. At this point the pot size: 2,040,000

River card circle

River cards sent out one 10, Tony G hit two pairs and Phua hit three. Phua crossed again and Tony G fired a 1500K bet, about 74% of the pot.

Phua only thought about it for about 15 seconds before deciding to fold. Tony G thus got the 3,540,000 pot with a bottom pair.

Hand analysis

Tony G's bluff is very good, and he successfully plays the same flower or gourd. Let's take a closer look at this hand.

Phua's use of T9 flushing is a very standard way of playing, but Tony G's defense with J7 different flowers is too loose, but it is also okay to play this occasionally when single-handedly.

Flop listening to both ends of Phua's c-bet is completely fine, hitting the bottom pair of Tony G quickly made a 3x raise, Phua seconds heel.

The 10 issued by the transfer card gave Phua the lead, but in fact, the advantage actually fell to the side of Tony G's range, so both sides passed the card.

The River Card issued the Peach 10, which at first glance is a card in favor of Phua, but it actually completes the flush and gourd played by Tony G in the flop circle.

So, hitting three Phua passes, Tony G bets 3/4 of the pot, and this bet is exactly the size of the bet he would bet on assuming he hits the flush. Phua said: "You hit the same flower? Then he pushed the starting hand into the fold pile.

Hand roundup

This hand is a perfect demonstration of how to get a story intact from start to finish in a hand.

Tony G used the flop to play the Dark Three or Flush Card, and after the River card was issued, he successfully played the hit gourd and flush, making Phua feel that his three were weaker cards.

To make matters worse, Tony G's river bet size is perfect, with 3/4 of the pot being the bet size of the value cards in his range.

Telling the story in its entirety, plus the correct bet size, makes this perfect bluff!
