Guangxi discovered a group of ancient tombs from the Sui and Tang dynasties of the Six Dynasties

Beihai City Museum recently released the latest archaeological results said that archaeologists found 70,000 square meters of ancient tombs in Dashugen Village, Fucheng Town, Yinhai District, Beihai City, and preliminarily investigated and explored about 200 ancient tombs in the Dashugen Ancient Tomb Group, and experts speculated that the age of the tomb group was about the Six Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties, which had high research value.

According to reports, the most prominent feature of the tomb group is that the burial chamber is generally constructed with a stone piece commonly known as "grinding wheel piece", and some tombs are structured with masonry and stone, and the shape is narrow and long and shallow. The relics collected in the cemetery include pottery, porcelain, iron and other types, and the recognizable vessels are hard pottery four series pots, sand clay kettles, celadon bowls, and iron knives. Pottery ornamentation is relatively rich, there are water ripples, milk nail patterns, leaf veins, grate scratches, string patterns and so on. In addition, more geometric tiles and a small number of "Pavilion" inscription bricks have been found.

In recent years, the Beihai Museum and the Guangxi Institute of Cultural Relics Conservation and Archaeology have continued to conduct archaeological exploration surveys on the local coast. In 2021, Beihai City has newly discovered more than 10 sites and relics distribution points, such as the Qin and Han Settlements of the Warring States of Shan pig Kengling, the Tombs of the Six Dynasties of Shuihan in Wujie Street, the Kiln Sites of the Tang Dynasty in Wayaoling, the Song and Yuan Ruins of oil houses, the Ming Dynasty kiln sites of the Langen Cylinder Tile Kilns, and the Qinghua Kiln Sites of the Qing Dynasty in Muyantang.
