In the "Amateur Ball King" finals, a total of 25 provincial and municipal table tennis association teams from all over the country and nearly 500 athletes participated. The team competition is grouped according to age group, the youngest is the 30-39 age group, and the oldest is the 70+year old group. In the closing day of the competition, the team championships of the men's and women's teams in a total of 10 categories were born.
The "Amateur Ball King" finals is the highest level of amateur table tennis in China, and has also been valued by Liu Guoliang, chairman of the Table Tennis Association, who not only personally appeared to watch the game, but also arranged for a number of table tennis weight figures including men's table tennis coach Qin Zhijian, Olympic champion Xu Xin, Liu Shiwen, and former women's table tennis coach Lu Yuansheng to help.
Xu Xin and Liu Shiwen also personally went down to the field to serve as sparring partners for these folk masters and feed the ball. At present, Fan Zhendong, Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu and others are training for the national team to prepare for the WTT Macau Championship that starts this month.
