Hello everyone! Today to introduce to you, the Tang Dynasty cultural relics "Gongyi Kiln Hanging Tire Pillow", 8 cm high, 12.5 cm long, 8.8 cm wide.

This pillow is small, rectangular in shape, with a low front and back high pillow, and a vent hole on the front side. The pillow surface and the side of the pillow are decorated with an array of five-petal clusters twisted from white and brown tire soil, and the outer cover is yellow glaze.

After mutual verification with the specimens collected at the kiln site, it can be concluded that this stranded tire pillow belongs to the Gongyi kiln products in Henan.

Gongyi kiln tire grinder can be roughly divided into two kinds: one is a fully stranded tire, that is, a deep and light tire mud twisted together and re-formed; the other is a veneer stranded tire, that is, two different colors of tire mud are first twisted together, twisted out of different textures, and then cut into thin slices, and the thin slice is pasted to the utensil with the tire mud.
