Intel Iris Graphics enters the NUC product line and will create a "3I platform" in the future

For a long time, many PC enthusiasts will be based on AMD's CPU, chipset (motherboard) and GPU (discrete graphics card), and the combined platform will be called "AAA platform". Due to the lack of mainstream CPUs and the lack of GPUs used by Intel's discrete graphics, there is no so-called "3N platform" or "3I platform", which also shows the comprehensiveness of the AMD product line from the side.

Many people may not know Intel's NUC notebook, but as Intel's reference product, its design will be adopted and improved by some manufacturers, such as Weigang's XPG Xenia product line. With the introduction of discrete graphics by Intel, the discrete graphics of the new generation of NUC laptops have also shifted from Nvidia to its own products.

In addition to laptops, the nuc 12 Enthusiast, which is rumored to be code-named Serpent Canyon, will have similar operations. Unlike the NUC 12 Extreme high-performance minibus, code-named Dragon Canyon, this is a mini console that will be smaller, and was rumored to be equipped with discrete graphics (possibly a mobile GPU) with Intel graphics memory of 8GB, 12GB or 16GB GDDR6, as well as Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port.

As Intel introduces Iris graphics to the NUC product line, Intel will create its own "3I platform" in the future.
