Red Net Moment, January 7 (Reporter Xu Shijie) Today, the finals and award ceremony of the "Xiangnu Duoxiu" Xiang embroidery study and performance competition were held in Hunan Xiang embroidery museum. 19 college student contestants brought their own Xiang embroidery works to the scene, and after three rounds of competition in Hanfu catwalk, work roadshow and talent show, Tang Hong of Hunan Arts and Crafts Vocational College won the championship.
This competition is a special fund support project for the comprehensive development of culture in Hunan Province, the activity aims to widely discover and excavate a group of Xiang embroidery study enthusiasts, cultivate and launch a group of Xiang embroidery inheritance and innovation talents, continue to create the "XiangNu Duoxiu" brand, guide young people to strengthen cultural self-confidence, and keep the integrity and innovation to inherit Xiang embroidery culture.
Launched in April 2021, the competition attracted thousands of students from universities across the country to register. Through the competition of auditions, university publicity, and intensive training, 19 contestants were shortlisted for the finals. In order to ensure fairness and openness, the finals have a professional review team and a public review team. The professional review team is composed of 5 experts and scholars, including Liu Aiyun, a master of Chinese arts and crafts and a representative inheritor of Xiang embroidery at the national level, and Cheng Xinxiang, a master of Chinese embroidery art and a representative inheritor of xiang embroidery provincial intangible cultural heritage. The public judging panel is composed of media people, cultural and tourism practitioners, cultural and creative designers, non-hereditary inheritors, university teachers and Xiang embroidery enthusiasts. The two groups of judges jointly decide the final ownership of the award in the form of on-site scoring and voting.
At the final scene, the contestants interpreted the beauty of needle tip art. Xiang embroidery work "Yunjin" and its creator Tang Hong won the double favor of professional judges and public judges for their novel creativity and personal performance, and finally won the laurel, Niu Jiaqi and Zhou Jin won the second place, and Li Lingxiao, Wang Jinming and Tang Mixiang won the third place.
