Paul: I'm happy to see the progress we've made in Biyombo, and we're still far from the results we want

Live bar Jan. 7, the Suns 106-89 light Clippers, after the game Suns player Chris Paul was interviewed by reporters.

Reporter: How do you feel about everyone's performance today?

Paul: Everybody was great, I mean we worked very well together. You know, in this situation, the team is prone to a shortage of major generals, but when someone goes, someone comes. Even if we play with different people, we're still a great team and we've come together from last year's tough game and will keep going.

Reporter: Tonight you grabbed 13 rebounds, a new career record, do you think this is the end? How does it feel during the game?

Paul: Absolutely not, in fact, I didn't pay attention to the data when I was playing, I just wanted to try my best to play. But there were also many nights when I wanted to have a triple-double, and there were always nine rebounds. You know, playing with so many big players, if I let them touch the ball first, then I'm basically out of the game.

Reporter: Why are you able to perform so well?

Paul: I think the most critical point is that we build trust, we play on top of each other, which is a little bit different from last year. We analyze the game together and practice together. Some teams will not know how to run and how to pass the ball, but it is rarely seen here, and mutual trust and familiarity let us know how to run and how to pass the ball. We all know our goal and know exactly how to get there. Cameron Johnson is not afraid to shoot from a distance, Jay Crowder can play freely, everyone can play a part, so we can always play in the same way, even if there are many situations, we can still do well.

Reporter: I see you talking to other people a lot on the bench, what does that mean to you?

Paul: As you can see, I don't just communicate with the coaches, I also communicate with other players. Tonight, including the coach, everyone is more aligned, and I am very happy to see this scene, and we are all very proud. I enjoyed interacting with Billyon, I spent the whole night with him and it was great to see how much progress he had made. Although others may not play, I still want to pass on the experience to them, and if I have the opportunity, I believe they will be great players too.

Reporter: You've won 30 games so far this season, you should be very proud of that, right?

Paul: I don't know we've won 30 yet, and I think for us, what we need is to move forward step by step, and keep moving forward. We have high goals as a team and it's going to be a fun team no matter who's in the lineup. When it comes to the game, it's very important that everyone does what they're supposed to do so that we win the game smoothly.

Paul played 34 minutes today, shooting 5-of-14 from the field and having 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
