Paraguayan military spokesman Victor Urdapilleta said on the 4th local time that 42-year-old Victor Isasi was knocked down by a deer in the early morning of the same day and died of stabbing wounds. The exotic animal, which had been presented to the presidential palace, stabbed the guard with its antlers, and surveillance captured the moment when Issasi, who was on patrol at the time, approached the deer before being attacked.

"Surveillance footage shows Isasi walking into the area where the animals are, and his movements (raising a hand) irritate the deer," Uda Pileta said. ”

Frederick Bauer, wildlife director of Paraguay's Ministry of environment, told local media that an Indian spotted deer was involved. Inside the 10-hectare presidential palace, animals are often isolated from other creatures and prevent them from coming into contact with outsiders.

Uda Pilettah admits that "it is not appropriate to keep exotic animals in captivity, but there are no relevant regulations at this time." He added that the guard's relatives would receive a pension. (Editor: HHJ)
