United are looking to acquire new midfielders, with Marseille's Bubacar Kamala and Wolves' Ruben Neves respectively being one of their targets.

Newcastle and Roma are also interested in the 22-year-old Camara, whose current contract expires this summer, so he is free to pre-sign with clubs outside France this month, while Neves' contract expires in 2024.

Sky Sports said United's priority is still to bring in reinforcements in the summer, but if there is a long-term goal to enter the market in January, they are also open to completing the acquisition this month.

Coutinho will return to premier league this weekend, with Aston Villa being one of six Premier League teams that are chasing Barca stars.

The 29-year-old Coutinho hopes to return to the Premier League and join an ambitious team that he can play regularly, and according to Sky Sports, the midfielder will decide his next stop before this weekend.

Sky Sports said Villa had tentatively asked about the possibility of buying Coutinho, although the club did not want to start a price war with other teams, and the Brazilian's salary requirements could also be a big problem, but Villa boss Gerrard is known to appreciate his former team-mates, and the two have previously played for Liverpool.

Coutinho has played 16 games in all competitions for Barca this season and his contract expires in 2023.
