Liverpool are close to completing a deal from Fulham to sign Fabio Carvalho, with the 19-year-old midfielder expected to land at Anfield this summer and sign a five-year contract.

Carvalho's contract expires this summer and if the rising star is free to move to another England team, Fulham is entitled to claim a certain amount of compensation as per the regulations, and if the midfielder joins a continental team, the team will only have to pay a symbolic fee.

According to Sky Sports, Carvalho has effectively undergone a liverpool medical examination with Fulham's permission and the Reds will pay a transfer fee of around £5 million, plus floating fees, for the deal.

Carvalho has contributed seven goals and seven assists in 29 Championship games this season, with the Portuguese almost joining Liverpool in January.

Romano tweeted: Tenhag asked United to involve him 100 per cent in their current and future transfer strategies: whether it's signing new signings, cleaning up redundancy or new contracts.

Tenhag sees these as the "key points" in rebuilding Manchester United and the new players must be perfectly in line with his ideas and the club's plans.

Arsenal and Manchester United are both considered interested in Ruben Neves, but Wolves boss Ragasa said recently that any team wanting to sign the midfielder would cost £100 million.

Asking for a 9-figure transfer fee appears to be becoming more common in football, with Glallish joining City for £100 million last summer, and West Ham asking for about the same price for Declan Rice, and wolves are now putting a similar price tag on Neves.

Asked about other clubs' interest in Neves, Ragage said: "I don't know if Manchester United or any other team is interested in him, all I know is that we have a special player.

When you have this kind of player, your best bet is to raise his salary and extend his contract.

But who knows? When you have a top player like Neves – he's good at attacking and defending and very professional – the big clubs are going to pay £100 million for a player like that. ”
