Li Youlan, "Youlan in the Army": He and Xiang Ying were newly married for several months and were separated forever, and finally they grew old with Zhang Aiping

What is history: it is the echo of the past to the future, the reflection of the future on the past. - Hugo

Idle in the valley, praying for the earthly world. The sword leaf is pure and the ice muscle jade heart melts.

The fragrance is full of fragrance, and the elegant style is graceful. Although it is a cold frost and snow night, the fragrance is better than spring.

This poem is General Zhang Aiping,1974 written to his wife Li Youlan's poem "Yong Si Ji Lan", in which every word praises his beloved wife. Li Youlan is known as "Youlan in the Army", she is high and elegant, beautiful and generous, and has been a horseman all her life, and she has worked with General Zhang Aiping for more than sixty years of ups and downs.

When it comes to the process of the two meeting and falling in love, it goes back to late January 1942. At that time, the Central China Bureau held a meeting in Shan Jia Gang, Funing, Northern Jiangsu Province, and cadres at and above the brigade level of the New Fourth Army attended the meeting. Li Youlan served as the stenographer of the meeting, and after the meeting began, Commander Chen Yi spoke.

Zhang Aiping, who was the deputy commander of the Third Division at this time, also attended the meeting. On the sidelines of the meeting, a comrade proposed that Zhang Aiping, former commander of the Ninth Brigade, come to the stage to talk about how the Ninth Brigade developed from a guerrilla unit to the main force of the New Fourth Army in a difficult environment against the enemy. Zhang Aiping was named on the stage, he did not prepare a draft, went on stage to salute the comrades in the audience.

Zhang Aiping had a clear understanding of the history of the development of the Ninth Brigade and told the comrades attending the meeting about her experience endlessly. His speech was clear and truth-seeking, talking about the difficulties encountered by the Ninth Brigade and the achievements made by the Ninth Brigade. After Zhang Aiping finished speaking, thunderous applause rang out from the audience, and the experience of the Ninth Brigade had a great reference effect on other fraternal units.

Early the next morning, a female soldier of the New Fourth Army sent Zhang Aiping a transcript of his speech yesterday. Zhang Aiping looked at it at a glance, and the font of this record manuscript was neat and the handwriting was beautiful. He read it carefully and found that the contents of the transcript were clearly organized and consistent with the meaning he expressed.

Such a careful record draft attracted the attention of Zhang Aiping, who looked up at the female warrior who sent the record, only to see that the female warrior was tall, beautiful, and had a pair of big eyes. The female warrior left a deep impression on Zhang Aiping, and the next day when he inquired, he learned that the girl's name was Li Youlan.

Li Youlan, a native of Xiaogang Town, Ningbo, was born into a patriotic merchant family. Li Youlan's father, Li Shanxiang, was a patriotic industrialist who spent his life in industry to save the country. In 1912, in order to develop the country's industry, he chose to resign from the position of the county magistrate of Zhenhai County and took his wife and children to jinzhou to start a business.

He founded Hengkang Farm in western Liaoning, introduced Siemens generators, and opened a business and oil mill. He first practiced joint-stock management in the northeast region, the first time he used agricultural machinery for farming, and the first time he planted rice in saline and alkali land and achieved success. He reclaimed land on the outskirts of Jinzhou, dug dozens of wells, planted apples, and bred varieties such as Red Marshal and Guoguang apples.

Li Shanxiang is a business wizard, but he does not only care about his wealth, but chooses to give back to the society. He founded the Harvest Academy, which included primary, secondary and tertiary schools, so that children from poor families with excellent grades could study for free. Such a patriotic businessman, he taught his children from an early age, not how to teach his children how to do business? How to earn more wealth? Instead, it teaches children to be "patriotic."

Since he was a child, Li Youlan listened to his father tell heroic stories such as Cai Yi's rebellion against Yuan Shikai as emperor and the seventy-two martyrs of Huanghuagang, which also buried the ideal of saving the country and saving the people in Li Youlan's heart when he was young. This is actually what Li Shanxiang did in his life, and he passed on his patriotic ideas to his sons and daughters. After the "9/18 Incident", more than 1.2 million square kilometers of land in the northeast fell into the hands of the enemy, and more than 30 million compatriots in the northeast were bullied and humiliated by the Japanese.

Li Shanxiang was well-known in the Jinzhou area, and the Japanese court co-opted Li Shanxiang and made Li Shanxiang the "president of the peasant association" in Jinzhou, but Li Shanxiang categorically refused. Li Shanxiang returned to his hometown of Xiaogang with his family, and he actively contributed money to the anti-Japanese cause and built a hospital for the wounded on the front line of the anti-Japanese resistance.

Li Youlan is the pearl in the palm of Li Shanxiang and has lived a rich life since childhood, but he is not a delicate rich family. She was concerned about the country's major affairs, and with the encouragement of her father, she and her sisters began to organize anti-Japanese propaganda teams and ambulance teams. Later, Li Shanxiang even sent the children to the front line of the anti-Japanese resistance, and sister Li Youlan, like the ancient Mulan "serving as a substitute father in the army", came to the anti-Japanese front line without hesitation at a time when the wolf smoke was everywhere and the motherland was in danger.

Of Li Shanxiang's four sons and daughters who came to the front, two had entered concentration camps, and two had also experienced nine deaths. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Li Shanxiang donated all the industries in the northeast to the country free of charge, and the Li family gave everything for the motherland. Li Youlan and Zhang Aiping first met not in 1942, but in 1938, before that. At that time, Li Youlan and other progressive young people came to Wuhan and wanted to go to Yan'an, the holy land of revolution, through the wuhan Eighth Route Army Office.

At this time, Wuhan was full of Kuomintang agents, and Li Youlan and his party attracted the attention of the agents. The chief of the intelligence department of the Kuomintang Wuhan Headquarters, as a fellow villager, co-opted these progressive youths, and Li Youlan and others pretended to leave Wuhan soon, getting rid of the entanglement of Kuomintang agents.

When they arrived at the Wuhan Eighth Route Army Office, they said to the receptionist of the office, "We are going to Yan'an, and we want to see Vice Minister Zhou." "Vice Minister Zhou is Premier Zhou, who was serving as vice minister of the Wuhan Eighth Route Army Office at the time, and Li Youlan and his party resolutely wanted to see Vice Minister Zhou.

As a staff officer on duty at the Wuhan Eighth Route Army Office, Zhang Aiping knew that Vice Minister Zhou had a heavy workload and was unwilling to let his classmates disturb Vice Minister Zhou. Later, Zhang Aiping recalled: "At that time, these classmates really had no choice but to argue to see Premier Zhou. Li Youlan smiled and said, "I am one of the dozen or so people." ”

Zhang Aiping learned that she and her beloved wife met in Wuhan in 1938. Later, Vice Minister Zhou heard the noise and came out to understand the situation. Despite his tiredness, he let his classmates in and listened to the purpose of their trip. When Vice Minister Zhou heard about these students, he wanted to go to Yan'an to participate in the anti-Japanese struggle.

Vice Minister Zhou frowned and said, "Fenglingdu has been occupied by the Japanese Kou, and it is difficult to go to Yan'an, so I will send you to the office of the New Fourth Army in Nanchang." The students nodded, and under the care of Vice Minister Zhou, Li Youlan and other students went to the Nanchang New Fourth Army Office, and Zhang Aiping and Li Youlan's first meeting was hurried.

Zhang Aiping was deeply impressed by this girl who could write and fight, and she had a good feeling in her heart. The winter in northern Jiangsu is cold and windy, dripping into ice, and people wearing large cotton jackets are shivering. As a stenographer of the New Fourth Army, Li Youlan had to record the speeches of the chiefs of the meeting, so gloves were a must-use item.

One day, before Li Youlan started working, he suddenly found that his fingerless gloves were missing. She searched inside and outside the house, but found no sign of the gloves, thinking that she was going to freeze her hands and work. Suddenly, there was a soft knock at the door, and Li Youlan opened the door to see Zhang Aiping and handed her her jujube red gloves.

Li Youlan saw that the chief had picked up his gloves and hurriedly thanked him: "Thank you chief." Zhang Aiping only smiled and said to Li Youlan: "Don't call the chief and chief, I have something to ask for, I hope you don't refuse." Li Youlan heard the chief say this and asked, "Does the chief still have something to ask me?" I can't afford it. ”

Zhang Aiping opened the door and said: "I read your transcript, it is very well written, I want to learn shorthand with you, are you willing to take me as an apprentice?" Teacher Li. Li Youlan just nodded, and later Zhang Aiping often followed Li Youlan to learn shorthand between meetings, and in ten days she actually learned.

At this time, Zhang Aiping already had a good feeling for Li Youlan, and through more than ten days of getting along, he believed that Li Youlan "is a talented and very virtuous woman, who can be introduced as a confidant and a lifelong partner." Zhang Aiping often met Li Youlan after class, and the two of them were like they had known each other for a long time, and there were endless common words.

Half a month later, the meeting was over, Zhang Aiping was going back to the Third Division, and Li Youlan was going back to the Central China Party School to study. At the moment of separation, the two finally met, and the atmosphere of sadness spread. The two walked side by side by the small river, neither of them spoke, or Zhang Aiping broke the calm.

He took out a captured stainless steel dagger and a small silver ring from his arms, handed it to Li Youlan, and said to her: "Leave a souvenir." Li Youlan accepted the gift with both hands, and the next day, Li Youlan sent Zhang Aiping a copy of the copied "Strategy and Tactics" and a black cover record folder.

To their delight, the Third Division headquarters and the Central China Party School were not far away, only fifteen kilometers away. Therefore, whenever there was a gap between command battles, Zhang Aiping always rode a jujube red horse to Wang Zhuji to meet with Li Youlan. Zhang Aiping took a camera captured from the battlefield and "clicked, clicked" to take pictures of Li Youlan, leaving Li Youlan's beautiful shadow one by one.

Later, the fighting on the anti-Japanese front became more and more fierce, and Zhang Aiping had no time to withdraw, so she had to agree to write a letter to Li Youlan, and the two contacted each other through letters. However, for two consecutive months, Li Youlan did not receive a letter, and later learned that he had been detained by the section chief. Li Youlan found the section chief and asked to return more than a dozen letters sent by Zhang Aiping, one by one, and looked carefully and saw the last letter, in which Zhang Aiping wrote such a sentence: "I have not received your reply, am I sick?" I'll see you in two days. ”

From these more than a dozen letters, Li Youlan also understood Zhang Aiping's intentions, and she was not happy that the section chief withheld her own letter. Just as Li Youlan was reading the letter, a sudden knock at the door came, and it was Zhang Aiping who opened the door. Zhang Aiping smiled and said, "You run here to doze off, you really choose a place." You don't talk about equality to me, I wrote you ten letters, why don't you reply to me with a word? ”

Li Youlan said grievously: "This has not just been received." Li Youlan explained the reason for the incident to Zhang Aiping, and the section chief prevented the school cadres from falling in love and withheld the letter. Zhang Aiping looked at Li Youlan's angry look, smiled and said, "Youlan, I want to thank you for this boss, and I want to thank him in person." ”

Li Youlan was not happy and said, "Thank him? He was an old feudal. Zhang Aiping knew from Li Youlan's anxious expression that Li Youlan was worried about himself, and he said to Li Youlan: "You, the boss, let me know, you are still anxiously waiting for my letter, I am satisfied." ”

Li Youlan pretended to be angry and said to Zhang Aiping, "Where is it?" I'm worried about your safety on the front lines. Zhang Aiping was even happier, smiled and said, "Good! Don't admit it. At this time, Li Youlan blushed and could not speak, surprised by Zhang Aiping's agility and optimism.

It was another year of summer, the summer in northern Jiangsu was rainy, and suddenly heavy rain fell day by day, and the house where Li Youlan lived collapsed. Li Youlan was wet, sheltering from the rain under the eaves of a neighbor's house, and in the distance he saw a jujube red horse galloping forward. In the rain curtain of the bean, a familiar face rode a horse and came to Li Youlan's side, he was Zhang Aiping.

Zhang Aiping heard that Li Youlan's residence had been washed away, and worried about her safety, she immediately braved the heavy rain to rush to Li Youlan's side. His military uniform was already soaked, but his face was still full of smiles, and he asked nervously: "Youlan, the house has collapsed, are you okay?" Li Youlan shook his head, indicating that he was fine, and Zhang Aiping took out a thick dress from a package on horseback and draped it on Li Youlan.

Li Youlan wore this dress, and suddenly felt a lot warmer, and the two stood side by side under the eaves. Zhang Aiping suddenly said, "Youlan, are you willing to marry me?" In fact, a few days ago, Zhang Aiping had consulted Li Youlan's opinion, but Li Youlan had a short marriage before, and she considered it more.

In 1941, Li Youlan married Xiang Ying, deputy commander of the New Fourth Army, as a revolutionary partner, and the Anhui Incident broke out shortly after the two were newly married. Li Youlan was arrested by the Kuomintang reactionaries and imprisoned in a concentration camp, where he was later rescued by his father, Li Shanxiang. Xiang Ying led his troops to break through to the area around Liankeng Village and continued to persist in the struggle.

In the early morning of March 14, 1941, Xiang Ying's aide-de-camp Liu Houzong assassinated Xiang Ying and Zhou Zikun with a pistol, injuring the guard Huang Cheng. When the nearby guards arrived, they found that Xiang Ying and Zhou Zikun had been killed, and immediately sent someone to arrest the traitor Liu Houzong. Li Youlan was newly married to Xiang Ying for several months at this time, and he was separated forever, which was really a heart-wrenching thing.

Therefore, after Zhang Aiping proposed marriage, Li Youlan said to Zhang Aiping: "Our marriage must be agreed by Commander Chen Yi, otherwise I can't bear the reproachful gaze and the discussion behind it." Two days later, Zhang Aiping rushed to the horse again, he was smiling and holding a special approval document in his hand.

Zhang Aiping handed The special marriage approval document of Commander Chen Yi to Li Youlan, only to see that under the marriage application report, there were two big characters written by Commander Chen Yi "Agree.". Zhang Aiping also took out a Parker fountain pen from her pocket, which was a wedding gift from Commander Chen Yi to the young couple.

Li Youlan looked at the marriage application and smiled, "I want to marry you, it will not be today, right?" Zhang Aiping said: "Why can't it be today?" Come back with me. Li Youlan got on the horse, Zhang Aiping also stepped on the horse's back, Li Youlan tightly wrapped his arms around Zhang Aiping's waist, and the husband and wife left on horseback.

Under the mediation of Commander Chen Yi and Zhang Qian's eldest sister, on August 8, 1942, Zhang Aiping and Li Youlan officially married a revolutionary couple, and a thatched hut became a wedding room. That night, Li Youlan carved a "Ping" on the Parker fountain pen given by Commander Chen Yijun and carefully hung it on Zhang Aiping's pocket.

By 1943, the Japanese puppet army dispatched 20,000 people to launch a "sweep" in the Yanfu area where the New Fourth Army headquarters was located. The headquarters of the Third Division and the army were evacuated, and Zhang Aiping was ordered to comprehensively lead the anti-"sweeping" struggle. The superiors ordered all the non-combatants to be transferred, and the pregnant Li Youlan was also on the list of transferees, and Li Youlan first went to hide in a patriotic cotton merchant on the edge of the base area.

It is close to the sea, and there is a batch of New Fourth Army supplies, and it can be transferred from the sea at any time. But one day, more than a dozen enemy planes bombed our ships at sea, causing harm to this patriotic businessman. In the bombing, the merchant's warehouses and factories were all destroyed, and everything was lost in an instant.

Li Youlan was buried in the rubble during the bomb bombing, but fortunately he was not injured. She escaped from the rubble and was left alone to find the troops. She had a child in her belly and walked for three days in the enemy's "sweep zone" before finally finding the New Fourth Army units. However, at this time, the troops still had a task, and the organization decided to send her back to her hometown, and to return to Xiaogang, she must pass through Shanghai.

At this time, Shanghai was already occupied by the Japanese Kou, it was an enemy-occupied area, there were sentries everywhere, and it was difficult to move without "good people's certificates." The guide who showed her the way suddenly disappeared, and she wandered the streets of Shanghai alone. Fortunately, in Shanghai, there was also a former friend of his father Li Shanxiang, and Li Youlan found a friend of his father in Shanghai, bought a so-called "good citizen certificate", and then returned to Xiaogang by boat.

At his mother's side, Li Youlan gave birth to his eldest son, Zhang Xiang. When Zhang Xiang was more than eight months old, Li Youlan thought of her husband and decided to return to the army. Along the way, Li Youlan left his children with his parents and returned to the anti-Japanese front alone. Le Qun, a traffic officer of the Zhejiang East 35th Detachment of the New Fourth Army, was responsible for escorting Li Youlan to the headquarters of the 35th Branch.

The Japanese Kou suddenly launched an attack, the headquarters of the three or five detachments had been withdrawn, and the original station of the branch had been occupied by the Japanese Kou. The boatman saw that the Japanese on the shore were frightened and wanted to turn the boat around, but Lequn immediately made a decision and said to the boatman: "Captain of the boat, continue to row forward, otherwise the enemy will shoot and we will all die." ”

The ship rowed in front of the enemy, and the enemy only thought that it was an ordinary small boat, and let the boat go. After crossing a mountain, Li Youlan and Le Qun met several plainclothes members of the New Fourth Army, one of whom was Li Youlan's younger brother. Under the arrangement of the three or five detachments, Li Youlan and three comrades-in-arms boarded a wooden sailing boat and headed from eastern Zhejiang to northern Jiangsu.

It wasn't a long journey, but it took six months, or because the wooden sailing boat encountered a hurricane on the way. The hurricane broke the main mast, and the wooden sailboat traveled by the wind, without the main mast, it could only travel by manpower. It was the hot summer season, the fiery sun in the sky was shining, the sweat of the people was exhausted, and the mouth was full of salt left by the evaporation of sweat, full of bitter taste.

On the shore is the Japanese occupation zone, and from time to time there are Japanese Kou gas rowing boats passing by, and the boats dare not dock. There was less and less food and fresh water on the ship, and finally only some raw sweet potatoes were left, and these raw sweet potatoes had to ensure that the captain of the boat was full, otherwise he would not have the strength to row. Passengers could only eat a few pieces of sweet potatoes a day, and Li Youlan later recalled the experience and said only three words, "Hungry and crazy."

Picture | In 1944, Li Youlan returned from his home in Xiaogang, Ningbo to the headquarters of the 4th Division of the New Fourth Army in DuXiang, a half-city in Huaibei

But to the mother's relief, she wisely left her child with her parents, and she was the only one who suffered. In October 1944, the wooden sailing ship arrived safely in northern Jiangsu, and they floated at sea for more than six months. Li Youlan recalled the first meal in northern Jiangsu and said: "Eat that fragrant!" Eating a big pot does not feel full. ”

Soon after, Li Youlan met with her husband Zhang Aiping, who looked at her suffering lover and a tough guy shed tears. At this time, Li Youlan's face was haggard and pale, his face was no longer rosy as before, and the two couples hugged each other tightly. Later, when Li Youlan was washing her husband's clothes, she found a small book in her husband's personal pocket, and wrote on the title page of the small book:

"Please pick up the book's friend: notify my beloved wife Li Youlan, address: Ningbo Xiaogang Daqitou (should be Daqitou) Li Shanxiang's home; notify my father Zhang Tiyuan, address: Zhangjiakou Village, Luojiangkou Town, Daxian County, Sichuan."

Zhang Aiping is ready to sacrifice for the country, this is his final entrustment, if he sacrifices, he must let his family know that he is loyal to the country. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Chiang Kai-shek brazenly tore up the peace agreement and launched a civil war, and on the eve of the battle to break the stubborn enemy on the Jinpu Railway, Zhang Aiping was seriously injured in the head.

The organization decided to let Li Youlan escort her husband to the back hospital for recuperation. At that time, the rear hospital was located in Dalian, a thousand miles from northern Jiangsu to Dalian, and Li Youlan took his second son Zhang Sheng, took care of her injured husband, and embarked on a difficult journey again. This road is full of towns occupied by the Kuomintang reactionaries, and there are bandits of all walks of life everywhere, which is full of dangers.

Li Youlan held the child, walked through thousands of rivers and mountains, and guarded her husband's stretcher day and night. If she was really sleepy, she borrowed a bench from her fellow villagers, lay on the bench to rest, and take care of the children. To prevent her son from running around, she tied a bandage to one side of his leg and the other to a bench.

In this way, from northern Jiangsu to Jiaodong, from Jiaodong across the sea to Dalian, experienced all kinds of difficulties and dangers, and finally sent Zhang Aiping to Dalian Rear Hospital. During the hospital, Li Youlan accompanied her husband day and night, and the power of love gradually healed Zhang Aiping's injuries. After the founding of New China, Zhang Aiping was ordered to serve as the commander of the Zhejiang Military Region, and later served as the chief of staff of the Third Field Army, the commander of the Zhejiang Eastern Front Command, and other positions, commanding the battles of Yijiangshan Island and recovering many islands along the southeast coast.

Li Youlan, on the other hand, successively served as secretary of the Naval Headquarters of the East China Military Region and deputy chief of the rank section of the Cadre Management Department of the Zhejiang Military Region. In 1954, Zhang Aiping was appointed deputy chief of the general staff, and later began to lead The cause of National Defense Construction in China. Li Youlan took the initiative to change careers and successively served as the director of the preparatory department of Beijing Art Normal College, the chief of the party affairs section and the supervision section of the organization department of the political department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

In March 1975, Zhang Aiping made a comeback and served as the director of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission, actively leading the development of china's national defense cutting-edge weapons. Her superiors arranged for Li Youlan to work with the general, and she once again followed her husband "ten years to yangguan road, flying over Qilian to Malan" and going to the vast desert in the northwest to support her husband's cause.

Since 1975, Li Youlan has successively served as the office of the headquarters of the Science and Technology Commission for National Defense and the deputy director of the office of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and participated in the launch and test of China's first intercontinental missile, the first underwater solid submarine-launched missile, and the first geosynchronous satellite. Zhang Aiping can command land, sea and air operations in the battlefield, and in peacetime can lead the cause of two bombs and one star, and his literary talent is equally outstanding.

Zhang Aiping is called a "poet on horseback" by comrades, and he has left many poems, photographs, and calligraphy works in his lifetime, each of which is a masterpiece. Sometimes Zhang Aiping's interest in writing poetry came, and she lost it as she wrote, and some of the poems were written and thrown into the paper basket by him. Li Youlan was careful, copied down her husband's poems, and sorted them out.

Later, Zhang Aiping published two books, "Chronicle" and "Song of Excalibur", most of which were compiled by precious materials preserved by Li Youlan. From 1942, the two embraced each other on the back of a jujube red horse, and since then the revolutionary couple has never let go of each other's hands. They have gone through ups and downs, hand in hand, and always give each other a smile.

In 1992, Zhang Aiping and Li Youlanjin were married to commemorate, and the children organized a simple family party for the second elder. Eighty-two-year-old General Zhang Aiping also invited his wife to dance a dance, which caused the guests to laugh. At the celebration, a couplet, "Wind and Rain, Life and Death and the Fifty Spring and Autumn of GongshenZhou, Sprinkling Shadows with Jade for a Hundred Years of Marriage", is the portrayal of their loyal love. They have been hand in hand for more than sixty years, relying on each other, walking through the spring and autumn of a nail, and writing the true meaning of love with their lives.
