Because she was born in a traditional family, her parents taught her from an early age to be "three from four virtues". In the thirty-first year of Guangxu (1905), Zheng Yuxiu entered the Tianjin "Chongshi Girls' School" Church School, which is a Western-style education school. In the eyes of his parents, the Qing Dynasty has not yet perished, and Zheng Yuxiu's entry into this kind of Western-style school is simply disrespectful to the imperial court. But Zheng Yuxiu didn't care so much, and the things she decided on her own could not be pulled back by eight horses.
In 1907, she traveled east with her sister to Japan. It was during his study in Japan that he received the influence of anti-Qing revolutionary ideas and realized that to save the country, he must overthrow the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty, and the following year, he joined the League. This task was to assassinate Yuan Shikai, and when the Xinhai Revolution broke out in 1911, the Qing court received this news in an almost uproar, and they had no choice but to appoint Yuan Shikai, who had been waiting for a long time, as the prime minister of the cabinet, responsible for suppressing the wave of the Xinhai Revolution. In order to protect Zheng Yuxiu's safety, the League decided to send her abroad to study. So in 1914, Zheng Yuxiu embarked on a journey to study in France, and in order to hide his eyes, he also named himself a foreigner named Samui. So she studied hard, and finally received a doctorate in law from the University of Paris in 1924, becoming the first female doctor in China.
After returning to China, he and her husband Wei Daoming founded their own office in Shanghai, and Zheng Yuxiu also held many important public offices, fulfilling his wish to serve the motherland. In December 1959, Zheng Yuxiu died of illness, and in order to commemorate her, people named her a whole street, known as "Yuxiu Street".
