Niles wants the winter window to leave, Roma 500,000 only rent or not, Arsenal is about to take the risk of renting

Roma and Arsenal have made progress in negotiations over player Niles. The deal was unlocked in a stalemate.

The two clubs are about to complete Niles' transfer on loan and are expected to complete the exchange of documents today.

If all goes well, Then Niles could be on the bench against Juventus. Players can complete a medical examination in London as early as tomorrow.

In previous transfer negotiations, Roma and Arsenal have been unable to reach a consensus on the potential purchase cost of the option. The transfer looks likely to fail like Xhaka's move in the summer of 2021.

However, now that the peak has turned around, Roma has abandoned the idea of buying Niles after leasing, and only intends to rent for 6 months.

The players also expressed to Arteta his desire to leave in the winter window, which became the key to the transfer.

In this case, Arsenal are willing to loan the player to Roma. The player's loan fee is 500,000 euros.

For Arsenal, just going on loan to Niles was a risky move as the players' contracts in London left with only a year and a half left. The contract expires in the summer of 2023, leaving Niles with only one year left on his contract with Arsenal after completing his loan at Roma.

Niles is only 24 years old, plays as a right-back and can also play in midfield. He has made a total of 11 appearances for Arsenal this season, including eight in the Premier League and three in the Premier League Cup. His last start was on 21 November 2021, in a 4–0 Premier League defeat to Liverpool.
