Record! Tesla delivers more than 930,000 units worldwide in 2021

Recently, Tesla released the 2021 annual automobile production and delivery report. According to the data, in the whole year of 2021, Tesla's global deliveries exceeded 930,000 vehicles, an increase of about 87.4% year-on-year, and more than 300,000 vehicles were delivered in the fourth quarter, setting a record delivery record again.

Tesla said that the statistics of this delivery volume are slightly conservative. Because Tesla only counts the delivery statistics when the vehicle has actually been handed over to the customer and all relevant documents have been completed. So, the final delivery figures could vary by 0.5% or more.

According to data from the Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Tesla has exceeded 50,000 monthly sales in the Chinese market for three consecutive months. As of November 30, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory has delivered more than 400,000 units in 2021, reaching about 413,000 units.

In the international market, Tesla sales also increased. According to the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, tesla car ownership in Singapore increased 15 times as of the end of the third quarter of 2021 compared to the first half of 2021. According to data from the Korea Import Automobile Association and the Korea Automotive Data Research Institute, Tesla sales reached 11,600 units in the first half of 2021, an increase of 64.3% year-on-year, accounting for more than 80% of South Korea's total sales of imported electric vehicles in the first half of the year.

Under the influence of the epidemic and the "lack of core" and other factors, Tesla's delivery volume has still doubled. Tesla believes that Tesla is trying to break through the supply dilemma by improving the vertical integration of the global supply chain and the technical reserves, including the capabilities of self-developed chips.

Shanghai Gigafactory, as Tesla's new export center, will be in full production in 2021. Thanks to the high degree of intelligence, digitalization and the 86% localization rate of parts, the shanghai gigafactory has further increased its production capacity, which has brought a strong boost to Tesla's annual delivery record.

In the third quarter of 2021, the shanghai gigafactory Model 3 and Model Y exceeded the Fremont plant for the first time, improving Tesla's global delivery speed.

As deliveries increase and the group of car owners expands, Tesla's service and charging network continues to expand. In 2021, Tesla opened more than 200 experience and service centers in Chinese mainland, laid out more than 60 cities, opened more than 1,000 supercharger stations, more than 9,000 superchargering piles, with more than 700 destination charging stations and a large number of home charging piles.
