Vogel: Sending Rondo away was a tough decision and he was one of my favorite players I've coached

Lakers coach Vogel was interviewed by the media today, in which he talked about the deal in which Rondo was sent to the Cavaliers.

According to previous reports, the Lakers sent Rondo to the Cavaliers in a three-way deal.

Vogel said he was happy for Rondo because he went to a team that could play more rotational roles. "Rondo is one of my favorite players I've ever coached. Rondo itself has no problems and the deal was able to be reached because management believed the team needed flexibility on the roster. Sending Rondo away is the kind of tough decision you have to make. Vogel said.

"Our team has been watching which players fit our system and Munch is one of our discoveries and I've always been a fan of Munch. When we learned we had a chance to get Munch, I really worked very hard to get him. Vogel continued.
