Downs shouted to Butler: We don't have to be friends, but thank you for helping the Timberwolves into the playoffs

We got the Timberwolves into the playoffs, and that's what we did. Thank you, really. Too many people online are spreading negative statements, and I hate that.

You spread negative energy, I just want to pass on love, send more flowers and applause. So many unfortunate things happen every day in this world, and you are still spreading them.

I'm not here to do these things, and that makes no sense at all. I said face-to-face with Jimmy that I wouldn't talk about that training here at the post-training players meeting you were talking about, and I didn't care anymore.

I just want to say that we don't have to be on the same page, you don't like me, I don't like you, that's fine. But as long as you wear the Timberwolves jersey, I'll give your teammates the respect they deserve. Towns said.
