This exquisite badge, the "Second Class Young Commando" commemorative medal, was born in July 1956 and was issued by the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the Youth League.

The carcass of the medal is copper gilded, the main color is red and gold, the shape is a five-pointed star shape often used in meritorious medals, the ornament is four-pointed light, the middle ring is the core pattern and visual center, the center is the side portrait of the great leader Chairman Mao Zedong, surrounded by gears, ears of wheat and ribbons, the ribbon is written with the seven words "second-level young assaulter", and the upper end is a five-pointed star, the overall pattern reflects the core position of the party's leadership, of which the red inner circle and blue ribbon are baking lacquer process. The medallion is fitted with a top hanging (width 36mm, height 30mm) and is worn with a pin.

The back of the badge is engraved with the words "Donated by the Nanchang Municipal Committee of the Youth League" and the date of award "July 1956". This commendation activity may have been deliberately selected to be carried out during the birthday of the "July 1st" party.

The medal has a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 1.5mm, from the design of the shape to the production process, it can be described as a strong sense of three-dimensionality, radiant, exquisite and thick, coupled with well-preserved, perfect appearance, it is a rare exquisite and precious badge.

Since the birth of the "Youth Commando" collective project in 1954, "young commandos" from all walks of life have sprung up like mushrooms and made important contributions to the cause of socialist construction.

Due to the limitations of historical data, it is not known whether the "young commandos" commended by the Nanchang Youth League Municipal Committee this time are divided into two levels: first-level and second-level, or whether they include three levels: first-level, second-level, and third-level. At the same time, the owner of the badge and the story behind it are also temporarily difficult to excavate and restore.
