Lianhe Zaobao reported on Jan. 3 that Tesla posted record quarterly deliveries on Sunday, beating Wall Street's expectations. It also became the sixth consecutive quarter of Tesla's record delivery.
Tesla released data news that the company delivered 308,600 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2021, breaking Tesla's quarterly delivery record, after Wall Street analysts estimated that the quarter delivered 263,000 vehicles. Tesla also said that this delivery volume is slightly conservative because the company only calculates the delivery volume of "the car is officially handed over to the customer and all the paperwork is correct" for it. So the final figure may differ by 0.5% or more from the above figure.
According to data released by Tesla, the company's October-December deliveries increased by about 70% year-on-year, nearly 30% higher than the record deliveries in the previous quarter. In addition, deliveries in 2021 increased 87% y/y to 936,000 units.
