Located 14 kilometers south of Tange Town, Wushan County, Gansu Province, Woniu Mountain Forest Park is named after a mountain in the scenic area that resembles a Lying Cow, and consists of three scenic spots: The General Temple, Yu'angou and Woniu Mountain. The two majestic peaks Tianye liang and Taihuang Mountain are located here, they stand side by side, almost the same height, so who is the first peak in the Tianshui area?

One day in mid-July, we came to Wushan and went to Woniushan Forest Park.
From Wushan County, head straight to Tange Ancient Town. The water resources of Tange are very rich, and several tributaries such as the Baima River, Daigou River and Yeyu River originating from Tange are gathered in the territory, and the alluvial fan of the river has formed a natural small basin in the north, which has been known as "Golden Basin Fish Farming" since ancient times.
There are documentary records about the place names of the beach songs, but it is estimated that they are Tibetan transliterations, roughly referring to the flat area under the mountain. This explanation is very much in line with the regional characteristics of the basin of the beach song, and the Chinese meaning, according to the literal meaning, guessing that the song and dance on the grass beach are also quite charming.
Tange Town, an ancient town in the shape of a gourd, dates back to at least the Zhenzong period of the Northern Song Dynasty. The ruins of Weiyuan Village, which stretch across the thousand-year-old river of history, the ruins and broken walls on the ruins of Wanhua Temple, and the Ming and Qing Street complexes flowing between modern civilizations, have repeatedly reminded and told people that this place was once the rich and prosperous economic and cultural center in Wushan.
Starting from Tange, we went straight to Woniu Mountain, where Tianye Liang is located.
When the villages on both sides of the road gradually disappeared and began to appear in the forest of the mountains, the boundary of Woniu Mountain arrived.
From a close distance, above the rolling mountains, there are green mountains and forests. The mountain is tightly obscured by dense trees, and the trees of different heights make the mountains lose some steepness, but they are more lush and soft.
One side of the Northern Song Dynasty Cliff stone carvings record the mystery of history
As the footsteps deepened, the originally open field of vision gradually became narrower, as if the mountains on both sides of the highway were constantly converging inward. The streams that began to appear when they entered the Woniu Mountains also became narrow and turbulent as the mountains gathered.
This stream is the South River Stream.
Not far from walking, there is a stone stele on the side of the road, which is engraved with "White Cliff Gou Moya Stone Carving". Through the stone stele, you can see the steep cliffs that seem to have iron hooks and silver strokes.
Steep cliffs, hanging tens of meters high, tree roots, in order to find out, we climbed up, close to the stone carvings. The stone carving has a total of 16 lines, the first line is 6 characters, the second line is 3 characters, the tail line is 19 words, and the rest are 20 words, a total of 276 words.
The author of the inscription, Liu Tao, a disciple of Su Shi, was "good at calligraphy and strong in penmanship", and was deeply appreciated by Huang Tingjian, but what he recorded was not the elegant thing of "cutting wood and singing birds", but the clear and harsh government.
During the Great Song Dynasty, the location of Woniu Mountain became a forest farm for royal logging, and its empirical evidence is this cliff carving.
During the Northern Song Dynasty, when building the imperial city, Qin Long was used many times, "The Spring and Autumn Period was connected to the giant raft, from the Weida River, and the pillars were gathered in Beijing." Between the ages, the mountains of good materials accumulate" ("History of Song"). The imperial court was heavily logged, and the court officials and shubian officers also colluded with each other to smuggle timber.
From the northern slope of the Western Qinling Mountains in the upper reaches of the Wei River, the thousand-year-old pine cypress in the Wushan and Gangu areas of Gansu set off from here, riding the rough waves of the Wei River all the way east, passing through Guanzhong, from Tongguan in Shaanxi to Kaifeng, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty under construction. These timbers later became the roof beams of the huge Kaifeng Province.
At the mouth of the main ditch of Woniu Mountain, the noisy streams converge here into a small waterhole, and then the water flows in two directions, north and south.

One way is biased to the south, walking along the road to Min County; the other road is biased north, you can continue deep into Woniu Mountain. The South River Stream is here, and the one that flows out of Min County in the south is called the South River, and the one that flows out from the depths of Woniu Mountain is called Longquan.
In the triangle where the stream intersects with the road, above the waterhole, three bright red characters of "Woniu Mountain" are carved on the stone cliff.
The two mountains have completely different weather
There is also a small allusion to the name of Woniu Mountain: on the way to the mountain, there is an ancient temple located on the side of the road, and the temple is dedicated to a magical stone, whose shape resembles the tongue of an ox, so it is called the Bull Tongue General Temple. The bull tongue general is the reincarnation of the green bull on the mount of Taishang Laojun, this area was originally the place where the green cow grazed and played, and then there was a war, the green cow was instructed by the Taishang Laojun to transform into a human form to repel the enemy, people built a temple here in order to commemorate him, and the stone in the shape of the cow's tongue is the only memorial left by the green cow to the world.
With the cow's tongue, coupled with the dense forest here, it is also like a green cow sitting here, so it is named Woniu Mountain.
The whole Woniu Mountain is divided into three areas: Yu'angou, Woniu Mountain and General Temple. Follow the mountain road into The Yu'an Ditch, where one of the tributaries, Dragon Spring, originates from the South River Stream, which follows us all the way.
"Whoops", the sound of the water rushing is getting louder and louder. Suddenly, the weeds on the high side of the road and the roof of the car suddenly disappeared, and a small open space appeared, and on the cliff in front of it, the waterfall fell vertically, and a stone stele was erected on the side, with the word "Dragon Spring" written on it.
Climbing up the stairs, the waterfall falls layer by layer, splashing water, the drop can reach more than 40 meters, and the rock at the bottom is the trace of the spring water washing over the years, revealing the yellow-brown rock. The cliffs here are dominated by volcanic rocks, which are deposits from ancient volcanic eruptions.
Standing at the top of Longquan Waterfall, you can look at the two highest peaks of the Woniu Mountains, Tianyeliang and Taihuang Mountain.
Eighteen bends around the mountain road, Tianye Liang was unreservedly displayed in front of his eyes.
"Floating sky water sends endless trees, with rain clouds buried half of the mountain." Looking east from the mountainside of Tianye Liang, it is the towering Taihuang Mountain. Although these two mountains are in the same town of Tange, they are separated by river valleys, so the weather is completely different. Taihuang Mountain is even half of the townships of Mount Wu, deriving famous mountains such as Qingshan, Longtai Mountain, Xiliang Mountain, Jianlong Mountain, Laojun Mountain, etc. Tianye Liang only derives Shi Di Shan and Guangwu Mountain, and the breadth of the width is incomparable to that of Tianye Liang. However, compared with the height, Taihuang Mountain is 3112 meters above sea level, and Tianyeliang is 3120 meters above sea level, although the difference is only 8 meters, it has become the reputation of the first peak of Tianye Liang Tianshui.
