Live bar December 31, 2019 Arsenal and team reporter Charles Watts, who work for the goals network, look back on the Gunners' 2021 year, arguing that the Gunners' best game of 2021 was the first half of the 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, and the best player was Smith Rowe.
The best game – I think it had to be a win in the North London derby, it was a sunny afternoon, a fantastic first half
Best player – Smith Rowe: He's improved his form in 2021, he's been able to score a lot of goals in the game, what a talented player, he's had an amazing 2021.
The best moment – Ramsdale's poker against Madison: it really made me feel like I couldn't breathe, it was an incredible save.
Best goal – Lacazette's goal against Southampton: from passing to receiving the ball and shooting in one fell swoop.
Best Signing – Ramsdale: It was tough, but I had to choose Ramsdale, who shut up a lot of people (including me) and who was a great goalkeeper with great ability and character.
Lowest - 0-5 loss to Manchester City: 3 consecutive defeats scored 0 goals conceded and conceded 9 goals, to the darkest hour.
Most disappointed – Aubameyang: He's a player I've always liked, but it's really a shame we got to this point and he could end up leaving, it's a sad ending.
