These seven regions include Macau, Hong Kong and the North Bay, all of which were forcibly taken by Western countries after the Opium War. Weihaiwei was a Military Port established by China in the north and a base for the Beiyang Marine Division of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in Shandong, in the northeast of the Shandong Peninsula, Weihai City, has a territory of nearly 700 square kilometers, and is very close to the Yellow Sea, to the west is connected to Yantai, to the north is separated from the Bohai Strait. Weihaiwei is located in a central position, forming a corner with lushunkou in the Liaodong Peninsula, which is the key to guarding the Bohai Sea and the last protective gateway for Beijing and Tianjin. The origin of the name of Weihaiwei is during the Ming Dynasty, which has been inhabited here since the Han Dynasty, and the emperor of the Ming Dynasty set up a protective guard station here to resist the invasion of the Wokou, so it has the name of Weihaiwei, which is also the meaning of Weizhen Haijiang. The British also set their sights on Weihaiwei, but at this time it was Japan that occupied Weihaiwei, and after many consultations between Britain and Japan, Japan gave up Weihaiwei, and they did not consider the opinions of the Qing Dynasty, so they decided on China's territorial ownership. After that, the British took Weihaiwei in their hands and began their Royal Navy training and the construction of a recuperation base here, and began to continuously develop Weihaiwei. As a result, foreigners flocked to the holiday every summer, which also led to the commercial development of the area, and the British earned a lot of silver here. However, China is certainly a must for its own territory, and it will not give in at all, and since then it has been negotiating with Britain to get back the territory that belongs to us. The negotiations lasted for 36 years, and finally after 32 years of Weihaiwei's occupation, the British agreed to the Chinese demand and returned Weihaiwei.
In addition to Weihaiwei, the other six regions mentioned were also returned after the founding of the country. Why is Weihaiwei so important? This is also due to its special geographical location. As a maritime gateway, it can send troops at any time after mastering it, and drive straight into Attack China, and China naturally does not want its gateway to be forcibly occupied by foreign parties, so it has been arguing on the basis of reason, and only after 32 years has it been taken back.
