Recently, in the Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qin Xiaoguang, deputy chief physician of the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, was doing Dunhuang special moxibustion for patients. He introduced to reporters that the main source of Dunhuang's characteristic moxibustion is to borrow the moxibustion ideas in the dunhuang testament "Moxibustion Diagram" volume A.
Ginger, moxa, supplemented by special moxibustion prescriptions, are the main materials of Dunhuang's characteristic moxibustion. An adult's moxibustion requires about 6 pounds of fresh ginger, cut, crushed, filtered, cake made, applied to the uncomfortable area, and ignited moxa for moxibustion.
Ai Zhuan is relatively broad, which is a more obvious feature of Dunhuang characteristic moxibustion.
The treatment principle is mainly to combine the effects of ginger and drugs, using the comprehensive effect of heat generated by gingerbread and moxa combustion to treat some stubborn and complex diseases, especially for chronic weak body cold diseases, clinically there is a very good effect, the experience is mostly female, and the moxibustion process is about an hour and a half.
"Moxibustion Diagram" was excavated in 1900 in Dunhuang Mogao Caves, which has high academic value and historical value. The Fragments of the Moxibustion Diagram are now in existence at the British Museum in London. (Reporter Gao Ying)
