Influenced by his mother Diane, Prince William has always been very enthusiastic about public welfare.

The Duchy of Cornwall is one of the two surviving principalities of England. The current Duke is the Prince of Wales, known as Prince Charles.
The other principality is the Duchy of Lancaster.
The Duchy of Cornwall owns about 135,000 acres of land in England, or about 550 square kilometers.
In 2013, it earned around £19 million and voluntarily paid income tax on that income.
Part of this income was used to fund william's own and his family's charities, and one day William would inherit the property entirely.
William became a patron of the charity Centrepoint in 2005. It was also one of the first charities he sponsored.
This charity specifically provides housing and employment support to young people in the UK, as well as life and mental health counselling. Their apprenticeship home offers vocational training courses with a view to changing the future of young people.
In 2009, the 40th anniversary of Centrepoint, the head of the organization challenged William, who gladly accepted and spent an evening sleeping on the streets and experiencing first-hand what it was like to be homeless.
The temperature was four degrees Celsius that night. He wore a gray sweatshirt and jeans and slept all night in an alley. I almost got run over by a passing cleaning truck.
The experience deepened his understanding of the homelessness problem, and he hoped to do his part to help the most helpless of people.
He then urged charities to redouble their efforts to end young people's homelessness as soon as possible.
At the 2019 Centrepoint 50th Anniversary Celebration, William expressed his recognition and gratitude for the institution's continued achievements.
William is also a patron of the Homeless Shelter The Passage. It was the institution that Diana had taken him and Harry to visit in 1993.
William said the visit taught him the values of respecting and treating vulnerable people well.
In September, William and The Passage discussed the importance of helping the homeless, especially in the context of the pandemic.
Now he is leading by example, proposing the idea of improving the situation by providing royal estate, showing that he does attach great importance to this issue, rather than just empty words.
