Originally, in the 6th update of December, Jelly Bean Man began to force players to bind Epic accounts; because they had to use Epic's online service to achieve cross-platform communication between PCs and hosts, which required binding Epic accounts to achieve. But some Steam players don't use the Epic platform, and they don't want to tie up Epic, so they can't play Jelly Bean man on Steam.
To make matters worse, even with an Epic account tied, many players have encountered problems with the game not starting, and it seems that there is some kind of bug in the Epic online service; and until today (January 1), these problems have not been officially solved. To this end, someone launched a petition campaign in the Steam community, hoping that the official can cancel the "must bind Epic account" mechanism, as of January 1, hundreds of players have left messages to support it.

One player complained frantically and said that if he had known that he would have encountered such a thing, he would not have bought Jelly Bean Man in the first place.
However, given that The Jelly Bean's parent company has been wholly owned by Epic, the petition from these players may not ultimately materialize.
