In the Republic of China period, the name Xiao Fengxian can be said to be unknown to anyone. In fact, she is an ordinary prostitute who sells singing and receiving customers in Yunjiban, Shaanxi Lane, one of the eight hutongs in old Beijing, but because she can read and hyphenate, can pull erhu, can play pipa, sing Peking Opera, and write lyrics, she soon stood out with "good color and art" and became a famous prostitute in Beijing in the early years of the Republic of China.

However, the most famous thing about her is the lifelong love between her and the famous republican general Cai Yi. At that time, before Yuan Shikai ascended the throne, in order to prevent Cai E from defecting, he sent military police to search the Cai residence in Cotton Hutong, and Cai Yi realized that the Beiyang government could not tolerate him, and with the help of Xiao Fengxian, he finally fled Beijing, returned to Yunnan, telegraphed Yuan, and set off a vigorous national defense movement.
Soon, however, Cai Yi died of illness, and Xiao Fengxian had to hide his name. But a brigade commander of the Northeast Army surnamed Liang had a crush on her, found her, and married her, and the two lived for many years. But in the war-torn years, a brigade commander was nothing at all, let alone the Northeast Army, and after Brigadier Liang did not know where to go after he accompanied the army to fight, Xiao Fengxian lived alone again.
Before the founding of New China, although Xiao Fengxian lived alone, but relying on the living expenses left by Brigadier Liang, although his life was hard, he was still OK, and he could still listen to the commentaries. Just while listening to the commentary, I met Li Zhenhai, a boilermaker. This boilermaker Li Zhenhai had worked in Zhang Xueliang's house and had seen Xiao Fengxian. So I took the initiative to talk, so that Xiao Fengxian felt particularly kind, and with feelings, Xiao Fengxian married Li Zhenhai, a boilermaker.
But at this time, Xiao Fengxian had no savings, the boilermaker Li Zhenhai's salary was very low, and there were four children in the family, so life was quite difficult. At the time of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, mei Lanfang, a famous peking opera master, returned from a condolence performance on the Korean battlefield and stayed at the guest house of the Northeast People's Communication Office.
In 1954, Xiao Fengxian died of illness at the age of 54 and was buried in the Tawan Mountain Forest in Shenyang's Huanggu District.
