Because black people in Africa at that time were able to adapt to the local climate, the skin color was very different from other people, so it was easy to manage and not easy to escape.
Later, in the middle of the 17th century, slave codes were enacted throughout North America, the main contents of which were: slaves could not marry freely with others, marriages between slaves were not protected, slaves were not allowed to buy and sell goods, they were not allowed to speak abusive language when arguing with whites, slaves were not allowed to own money and property, and if there was no reason and pass for characteristics, they were not allowed to leave the plantation, and so on.
The unequal treatment of the law had made black slaves sad, but it was even more difficult than that. That is the fate of black female slaves, many beautiful black female slaves will encounter fierce slave owners, not only will be beaten by the master, but also used as a tool to vent to the master, in the 1940s there are records, nearly half of the black blood is not pure, is black and white mixed blood.
By 1800, Britain took the lead in launching the "abolition movement", and after 200 years of slave trade, the British had made a lot of money, and now began to claim to be a civilized society, with a high sense of human rights. Coupled with the subsequent Industrial Revolution, machines gradually replaced labor, and the slave market began to slowly decline.
