Compared with previous years, the track environment in 2022 will be longer and more difficult, coupled with the new rules of the race, the 2022 season of Dakar will also be the toughest race in history for participating vehicles and drivers. In 2021, the only Chinese car brand team to participate in the Dakar race for the first time, the Beijing off-road BJ40 team, will once again impact.
The 44th Dakar Rally 2022 will continue in Saudi Arabia, departing from Khaira on 2 January and arriving in Riyadh on 7 January. After a day's rest, we arrived in Jeddah, the final destination of the race, on 14 January. In this year's Dakar Rally, the dry climate and the soft and disorienting desert will make it more difficult for the participating drivers.
In recent years, the figure of China's own brand has gradually disappeared in the Dakar arena, and Beijing Off-Road is the only Chinese car brand active in the Dakar arena. In the 2021 Dakar Rally, Beijing Off-Road participated as a manufacturer's team, making its debut and winning the king, and the Beijing Off-Road Team won the first and second place in the newcomer group; while the three teams participating in the Beijing Off-Road Race all ranked in the top 15, and the 361 car group driven by Lu Binglong/Ma Wenke won the 13th place in the world.
In 2022, Beijing Off-Road will continue to represent China. In the later stage, Beijing off-road will also continue to build China's off-road culture, in the name of hardcore, so that off-road into more people's lives.
