Didi's total revenue in Q3 was 42.7 billion yuan, and Daniel Zhang resigned as a director of Didi's board of directors and Zhang Yi took over

Blue Whale TMT Channel, December 30, 2021, today, Didi announced the unaudited second quarter results for June 30, 2021 and the unaudited third quarter ended September 30, 2021. In the second quarter of 2021, Didi's total revenue was 48.2 billion yuan (RMB, the same below); in the third quarter of 2021, Didi's total revenue was 42.7 billion yuan, down 11.48% from the previous quarter.

In the second quarter of 2021, Didi's adjusted EBITDA (EBITA) was a loss of $2.3 billion under non-GAAP, compared to a gain of $200 million in the same period last year. Among them, in the second quarter of 2021, the Chinese travel business achieved a revenue of 1.7 billion yuan, an international business loss of 1.2 billion yuan, and other businesses lost 2.8 billion yuan.

In contrast, under non-GAAP, Didi's adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter of 2021 was a loss of 7.5 billion yuan, compared with a loss of 0.17 billion yuan in the same period last year. Among them, in the third quarter of 2021, the China travel business lost 0.29 billion yuan, the international business lost 1.8 billion yuan, and other businesses lost 5.7 billion yuan.

From the perspective of different revenue composition, of Didi's total revenue of 48.2 billion yuan in the second quarter of 2021, the total revenue of China's travel business was 44.8 billion yuan, the total income of international business was 800 million yuan, and the total income of other businesses was 2.6 billion yuan. Of Didi's total revenue of 42.7 billion yuan in the third quarter of 2021, the total revenue of China's travel business was 39 billion yuan, the total income of international business was 1 billion yuan, and the revenue of other businesses was 2.7 billion yuan.

From the perspective of the total transaction volume (GTV) of the core platform, in the second quarter of 2021, the total transaction volume of Didi's core platform was 73.3 billion yuan, the total transaction volume of China's travel business was 64.6 billion yuan, and the total transaction volume of international business was 8.7 billion yuan. In the third quarter of 2021, the total transaction volume of Didi's core platform was 68.7 billion yuan, the total transaction volume of China's travel business was 58.4 billion yuan, and the total transaction volume of international business reached 10.3 billion yuan.

In terms of single volume, in the second quarter of 2021, the total order size of the core platform was 3.004 billion, the total order size of China Travel was 2.57 billion, and the total volume of international business was 434 million. In the third quarter of 2021, the total order size of the core platform was 2.855 billion, the total order size of China Travel was 2.356 billion, and the total order size of international business was 499 million.

In addition, Didi also announced that Zhang Yi, senior legal director of Alibaba and general counsel of Alibaba Local Life Services, has been appointed as a director of Didi's board of directors, and Alibaba's chairman and CEO Daniel Zhang resigned as a director of Didi's board of directors.
