This guy scores 40 points, he's done it more than once, he can block anybody, you don't see too many people being held off by him, that's because people walk away when he takes off. [The answer to that question] is definitely Anthony Edwards, he has the potential to star, he's athletic, his games are exciting because you see the best dunk of the year in every game. ”

Asked how many defensive player of the year awards he could have won, Chai Meng said: "I should have won 3 times, there were 2 times I thought it must be mine, but I think I could have won 3 times, so let me take 1 more time this season." Dream won the Defensive Player of the Year award in the 2016-2017 season.
