However, compared with the broadcast of events in indoor venues, it is undoubtedly much more difficult to broadcast in the National Biathlon Center, which covers a large area, has many broadcasting points, is difficult to lay cables, and is in an environment of high wind and cold. According to Fan Zepeng, broadcast service manager of the National Biathlon Center, it is not only the challenge of broadcasting during the Winter Olympic Games, but also the greater difficulties actually come from the setting of the broadcast points in the early stage of the venue.
It is reported that the main work of the national biathlon center broadcast service team is to build a bridge between the Olympic Broadcast Service Company (OBS) and all parties in the national biathlon center venues, provide the geographical, electric power, technology, infrastructure and other information required for the broadcast work, and lay the foundation for the efficient completion of the broadcast work during the Winter Olympic Games.
Fan Zepeng introduced that during the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the National Biathlon Center will set up more than 50 broadcast points, except for a few more conventional broadcast points, the vast majority of broadcast points need to be retransmission service teams and OBS experts after many field exploration, design, construction, and later practical adjustments before the final location can be determined. The National Biathlon Center occupies a large area, especially in the early days, it is very difficult to carry out point exploration under the condition of imperfect site conditions, not to mention the windy and low temperature weather, Fan Zepeng said: "In the early stage of the point exploration process, according to my personal incomplete statistics, everyone at least wore more than 40 pairs of shoes. I was also impressed by the scene of everyone climbing and descending the mountain hand in hand to work. ”

Among the more than 50 broadcast points, there is one point that is very special and has been finalized after a long period of investigation, that is, it can overlook the all-round attraction of the National Biathlon Center. Fan Zepeng's team and OBS experts were not very satisfied with the exploration of many hills around the ancient poplar stadium group, and after many design considerations and communication, they finally set this point at the top of the National Ski Jumping Center "Snow Ruyi", Fan Zepeng said: "'Snow Ruyi' is high in altitude, and the straight-line distance from the National Biathlon Center is only a few hundred meters, and the panoramic effect is very good." ”
The design of just one point requires a lot of "foot power" and "brain power", and a game broadcast during the Beijing Winter Olympics next year actually contains the work and sweat of the venue broadcast service team for more than two years.
