Hua Tuo's "Book of Qingsac" is from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
Hua Tuo was in prison, and there was a jailer surnamed Wu, who was known as "Wu Prison". This person offers food and wine to Hua Tuo every day. Tuo was grateful for his kindness, but he said, "I am going to die today, and I hate that the Book of the Green Capsule has not been passed down to the world." Feel the kindness, nothing to repay. If I repair a book, the Gong can send someone to send it to my family, and take the "Book of the Green Capsule" to give to the Gong to inherit my skills. "If I get this book, I will abandon this service and heal the sick of the world, so as to pass on the virtue of Mr. Wu." "Tuo immediately repaired the book and paid Wu to prison, and Wu was imprisoned until Jincheng, asked Tuo's wife to take the "Book of Qingbao", returned to the prison, paid and Hua Tuo to check it out, and Tuo was about to give the book to Wu to be imprisoned.

Wu detained him and went home to hide it. Ten days later, Hua Tuo died in prison. Wu was imprisoned to buy a coffin and funeral, and only Xie Shi's money was counted. After getting rid of his errands, he went home to get the "Book of Green Capsules" to read. I saw his wife burning the book there. Women don't love doctors, they don't love books. Wu was horrified and rushed to snatch it, and the whole volume had been burned, leaving only one or two leaves. Wu scolded his wife angrily. His wife said, "Even if he learned as wonderfully as Hua Tuo, he only ended up dying in prison. Wu Bao prison sighed.
Therefore, the Book of the Green Capsule has not been passed down to the world, and the small methods such as stopping castration of chickens and pigs have been burned in one or two leaves.
This story has been widely circulated, and many people believe it to be true. In fact, this is Luo Guanzhong's play according to a few records in the history books.
In the history book "The Biography of Hua Tuo", Hua Tuo did send a book to the jailer, but the title of the book was not determined to be the "Book of Green Capsules", and the story process was not as dramatic as the description of the interpretation.
"Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Hua Tuo Biography": Tuo was dying, and a book and a prison guard were published, saying: "This can be a living person." "Officials are afraid of the law, and they are not strong, so they burn it."
"Later Han Shu Hua Tuo Biography": Tuo was dying, and a book and a prison guard were published, saying: "This can be a living person." "Officials who are afraid of the Fa do not dare to bear it, and they are not strong, so they burn it."
In the two records, there are only a few words of difference, and the content is basically the same:
Hua Tuo burned his own medical books
。
However, there are always people who listen to the stories of the evolution, and even the folklore, thinking that Hua Tuo's medical book is called "Qingbao Book", and even the brain supplement "Qingbao Book" is a treasure book of Chinese medicine surgery...
02
What exactly is the Book of The Green Capsule?
Don't think that Hua Tuo didn't write the "Qingbao Book", there really is no "Qingbao Book" in history! What I want to tell you is:
There really is a "Green Capsule Book" in history!
"Jin Shu Guo Pu Biography": There is Guo Gong, a guest living in Hedong, proficient in Bu Zheng, Pu from which to receive employment. With the nine volumes of the Book of the Qing sac, the five elements of Suidong, astronomy, and the art of divination are the art of turning disasters into disasters, and there is no way to get through, although the capital house and the pipe cannot pass. Zhao Zai, a Pumen man, tried to steal the Book of Green Capsules, but was burned by fire before he could read it.
This is the Jin Dynasty, Guo Pu once had nine volumes of the Qingbao Book, the content of this book has nothing to do with medical techniques, but the five elements, astronomy, divination and other skills.
In the Zhishu of the Tang and Song Dynasties, some things about the Qingbao Book are also mentioned, but it should be noted that:
This book is not another book
New Book of Tang Zhi 49 Yiwen III: Dou Meng's Book of qingsacs, ten volumes of Guozi Siye.
Song Shi Zhi 160 Yiwen VI: Ten volumes of Lu Zhen's Book of Qingsac.
In summary:
The Book of Green Capsules has a name in history, but many people use this title, and the content of the book has nothing to do with medicine.

Back to the point
The subject's story is based on the artistic processing of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", unfolding a beautiful imagination and hope
China has existed in ancient times, and the ancients are better than the present
, very patriotic, very young, very Tucson broken.
What is false is false and never true. In Hua Tuo's time, witch doctors did not separate families, so Hua Tuo and Zuo Ci these gods were combined into one volume, and the stories of Hua Tuo were recorded, many of which were comparable to witchcraft.
We cannot demand that Chen Shou and Fan Ye, the authors of history books, have a materialist vision and criticize these absurd things, which are divorced from the limitations of history and cannot happen.
Putting aside the unreliable contents recorded in the book and removing the falsehood from the truth, we only need to believe that there was such a famous doctor Hua Tuo at the end of the Han Dynasty, and his medical skills were worthy of Cao Cao's trust.
As for Hua Tuo's surgical records, just look at it.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms
: If the disease accumulates and the needle medicine cannot reach it, when the person who has to cut it, he will drink it and boil it, and the whiskers will be drunk and dead, because they are broken. If the disease is in the intestine, it will break the intestines and wash them, suture the abdomen, the difference of four or five days, no pain, people do not self-cherish, within One month, that is, calm.
Hua Tuo biography
: Another person was sick with half-cut pain in the abdomen, and for more than ten days, his eyebrows fell. Tuo Yue: "It is a spleen that is half rotten, but it can also be healed by the abdomen." "Tuo defecated and drank medicine to lie down, broken abdomen, and the spleen was semi-rotten. Scrape away the evil flesh, anoint fu the wounds, drink the medicine, and calm down in a hundred days.
After all, history books do legends
The position of the Master of Beauty
Even if the survival rate of patients due to postoperative infection is very low, the history book author will not record it.
Taking a step back:
At least in the late Han Dynasty, there were already concepts of surgery and anesthesia in Chinese medicine
。 As for the degree of completion, how practical is it?
I think that everyone is not a witness, and there is really no need to fight for this.
04
Hua Tuo's medical book (Qingnang Book) is really just a folk legend that the Chinese people like to hear, and Luo Guanzhong's compilation is colorful, so the Chinese people have a deep soil of faith.
In fact, Hua Tuo had two apprentices, Wu Pu and Fan A.
Guangling Wu Pu and Peng Cheng Fan Both studied from (Hua) Tuo. (Wu) PuYi Zhun (Hua) Tuo Zhi, many all the houses.
Wu Pu inherited the five birds play, and Fan A was good at acupuncture.
The surgical operation mentioned in Hua Tuo's biography, these two apprentices have no record of inheritance, perhaps, it really died with Hua Tuo's death.
As for how high Hua Tuo's surgical level is, I still have that sentence: this transmission is beautiful, and how much the success rate of surgery is a question. I really want to boast, but also to say that Hua Tuo is bold, dares to do open surgery, and considers and solves the problems of anesthesia (hemp boiling dispersion) and postoperative infection (suture abdominal ointment). Not to mention the comparison with foreign countries, at least in China's history, the time is longitudinally compared, Hua Tuo is also the best among doctors.
If it is said that it can reach the level of Western medicine and surgery (it should be the level of modern medicine), it must be taken for granted.
The establishment of Western medicine and surgery has a set of scientific theoretical foundations, which is a condition that ancient Chinese medicine did not have, so I do not think that Hua Tuo has such a level.
Or in this way, Hua Tuo was the pioneer of TCM surgery, while his apprentice, later generations of TCM, was unwilling to conduct research in the direction of surgery
The stagnation of the development of TCM surgery has nothing to do with whether Hua Tuo burned his own medical books.
