When Wang Dapei, a soldier of the Red Army, had a high fever when he crossed the meadow, the division commander Guo Xishan said: Throw him away

In 1936, when the Red Fourth Front was crossing the meadow, a Red Army soldier fell ill with a serious cold, and he had also exposed the stain of Guo Xishan, so the resentful division commander Guo Xishan used the situation to avoid infecting more people and abandon him in the grassland.

Fortunately, the political commissar Wan Hanjiang rushed to the scene, quarreled with him, almost moved the gun, and then saved the soldier again. This warrior's name was Wang Dapei, and the warrior who was known as "unable to die" was a Native of Xuanhan, Sichuan.

On November 20, 1918, Wang Dapei was born in an ordinary peasant family in Victory Field, Xuanhan County, and entered a private school in 1928, and in 1932, he was admitted to Yanmenchang Junior High School.

In early November 1932, the Red Army came to Wang Dapei's hometown to "expand the red", and Wang Dapei joined the Red Army in his mother's joy and worry, becoming a "little red ghost". After joining the army, Wang Dapei changed his name to Wang Dinglie, strengthening his revolutionary determination.

When Wang Dapei, a soldier of the Red Army, had a high fever when he crossed the meadow, the division commander Guo Xishan said: Throw him away

After Wang Dinglie joined the army, he participated in the anti-"six-way siege" in the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Region and the Long March of the Red Army. On the battlefield, he punched and charged, made many meritorious achievements, and was praised by his superiors by name. After the victory of the Red First and Fourth Fronts, he served as a clerk of the 43rd Regiment of the 15th Division of the Red Fifth Army, participated in the Western Expedition of the Red Fifth Army, and fought a bloody battle with the Ma Family Army.

Once, Wang Dinglie discovered the bad deeds done by the division commander Guo Xishan, so he reported it to his superiors. The bad deeds that Guo Xishan had done were verified and criticized by the whole army, and since then, Guo Xishan has held a grudge against the whistleblowers.

As the commander of the First Division, Guo Xishan did not want to reflect on his mistakes, but only wanted to find out who the whistleblower was. Soon, I don't know what means Guo Xishan used to learn that the whistleblower was Wang Dinglie. Although Wang Dinglie made many meritorious contributions, he became a thorn in the eye of the division commander Guo Xishan, who used the power in his hands and began to declare a personal vendetta.

Due to Guo Xishan's suppression, Wang Dinglie has never had the opportunity to be promoted, just an ordinary warrior. When crossing the meadow, because of the bad weather and malnutrition, Wang Dinglie launched a high fever. After the doctor's diagnosis, because of the lack of medical treatment, he thought that as long as he carried Wang Dinglie and put a wet towel on his hair, he would slowly recover.

When Wang Dapei, a soldier of the Red Army, had a high fever when he crossed the meadow, the division commander Guo Xishan said: Throw him away

When Guo Xishan saw that his condition was not improving, he deliberately found a rumor and said: "Wang Dinglie has malaria, it will be contagious, and he immediately threw it away." The comrades-in-arms resolutely refused, and the political commissar Wan Hanjiang almost moved his gun with Guo Xishan, and he had to take Wang Dinglie with him, which saved Wang Dinglie's life.

In March 1937, Wang Dinglie and 8 other fighters were surrounded by the enemy at Shiwo Mountain, and under the fierce attack of the enemy, they stubbornly resisted, the bullets were empty, and the knife was slashed and bladed.

Just at this moment, a bullet flew in, and Wang Dinglie suddenly felt like a punch in the waist, and blood flowed from the wound and wet his clothes. He suddenly felt the sky spinning, his eyes bursting with Venus, and he fainted on the ground.

When Wang Dinglie woke up, the troops had withdrawn, and he struggled to stand up, but his legs were like two iron rods, so heavy and numb that he could not take a step. Later he learned that the bullet rested across his lumbar spine, compressing the spinal nerves and numbing his lower limbs.

When he went down the mountain, he encountered more than 20 wounded, and while resting in a house, Ma Jiabing suddenly shot at the house from outside the window, and then entered the house with a knife and slashed the wounded of the Red Army one by one, Wang Dinglie was slashed by the enemy on the forehead, a knife on the back of the head, and both hands were slashed once, and they were cut to the ground.

I don't know how long he fainted, but when he woke up, the other wounded were all sacrificed, and later he met a fellow who gave him food. They also did not dare to go down the mountain, because the enemy was arresting people everywhere. They were in the grove on the hillside until dusk, and as they descended the hill they were surrounded by enemy spotlight.

A guy ripped off Wang Dinglie's clothes and said you kneel. Wang Dinglie thought to himself, now that it is a critical point of life and death, I will still kneel for you? So he said, "If you want to shoot, shoot, and Lao Tzu won't kneel." ”

At this time, the enemy on the other side shouted: "Don't shoot, live." Wang Dinglie did not lose his life, but he was captured and imprisoned in a prisoner-of-war camp.

When Wang Dapei, a soldier of the Red Army, had a high fever when he crossed the meadow, the division commander Guo Xishan said: Throw him away

When he was imprisoned, almost every day, the dead comrades were carried out and buried, and Wang Dinglie was ready to sacrifice. Every day Wang Dinglie slept in a trough drinking camel, and every day a large bowl of "Peppery Soup". But the knife and gun wounds on his body were suppurative everywhere, rotting and smelling, and many maggots with white flowers were born.

Later, a slender female nurse came and first pulled the maggots from the wound with gauze, and then scrubbed the wound with salt water. Under her care, Wang Dinglie's injuries gradually improved.

In the face of repeated torture by the enemy, Wang Dinglie clenched his teeth and was unyielding. Unexpectedly, a greater catastrophe was still waiting for him, and it turned out that Guo Xishan had already defected to the enemy in an attempt to persuade him to surrender.

Guo Xishan and Wang Dinglie originally had a vendetta, and when they heard that Wang Dinglie had been captured, they swung to prison. Guo Xishan, dressed in a robe and horse coat, had a despicable and shameless appearance, and when he saw Wang Dinglie and other captured comrades, he showed off: "You see, I am now eating and drinking spicy, and the official has been promoted, do you envy me?" ”

Wang Dinglie took the lead in angrily scolding Guo Xishan: "You are a dog traitor, you must not die well!" Guo Xishan was not angry at all when he heard the angry scolding of his former comrades-in-arms, and it turned out that he had come with a mission, that is, to persuade the Red Army soldiers in the prisoner-of-war camp to surrender.

Guo Xishan continued hypocritically: "You are all my old subordinates, I can't bear to watch you suffer, as long as you surrender, I will definitely ensure your safety and let you enjoy the rest of your life." ”

Wang Dinglie had already recognized Guo Xishan's face and scolded: "Dog stuff, you are willing to be a dog, we are not willing, you must die without a place to bury." ”

Guo Xishan was completely annoyed, slammed the door and left, and also explained to the jailer: "Give me a good service to them, let them still have a hard mouth!" Soon after, because Guo Xishan committed the crime of stealing chickens and dogs, the enemy saw that he was useless, and directly shot Guo Xishan, and the body was fed to the dog.

Wang Dinglie and other comrades insisted on their beliefs and waited until the outbreak of the all-out War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression before being released and returned to Yan'an. Wang Dinglie has experienced nine deaths in his life, and it is difficult not to die, and his comrades-in-arms gave him a nickname - "can't die".

He was awarded the rank of colonel in 1955 and promoted to major general in 1961. He was awarded the Order of August 1, 3rd Class, the Order of Independence and Freedom of the 2nd Class, and the Order of Liberation, 2nd Class. In July 1988, he was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Red Star first class.
