Tea merchants from more than 20 provinces and six major tea categories in the mainland enthusiastically participated in the competition, among which rock tea, white tea and black tea doubled several times than in previous years, and the scale of activities was unprecedented; the epidemic was ruthless, and the tea merchants were affectionate, and Taiwan tea samples were also warmly sent to Xiamen for evaluation after passing the preliminary evaluation of experts in Taiwan.

Lu Chengyin, chairman of the National Tea Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, said that cross-strait interaction can increase mutual trust and build a win-win platform with "tea" as the medium.

Chen Changsong, an expert and scientist at the Oolong Tea Breeding Post of the National Tea Industry Technology System, said that the tea industry has developed into a new highlight of Fujian farmers' income increase and agricultural efficiency, and is also an effective grasp of the integration of three industries and rural revitalization, and it is also a Fujian answer sheet of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains".

Chen Zhixiong, secretary general of the Xiamen Tea Association (Academy), said that the current support for rural development through leading tea enterprises will be able to consolidate the results of rural poverty alleviation and drive rural revitalization.

Li Shijie, chairman of the Taiwan Tea Association, said that he hopes to expand cross-strait tea industry exchanges as soon as possible through the "Cross-Strait Tea King Tournament", share cross-strait tea making and roasting technology and marketing experience, enhance the brand awareness of tea farmers, tea merchants and tea enterprises, and create a win-win situation.

Lin Yucheng, founding president of Taiwan's Alishan Tea Production Cooperative, said that this year's production of Taiwan's alpine tea has been reduced by about 50% to 60%, but the quality has improved. The exchange of tea industry between the two sides of the strait has given tea farmers and tea enterprises on both sides of the strait an opportunity to exchange and share with each other.

Lin Zhanwei, chairman of the board of directors of the Alishan Tea Industry Distribution and Marketing Cooperative in Chiayi County, said that Taiwan has encountered drought this year, which has a huge impact on the tea industry in central and southern China.
