On December 28, Chongqing Rail Transit Ring Line, Line 4 and Line 5 achieved three-line interconnection, which is also the first three-line interconnection of rail transit in China.
The operation section of the third-line interconnection express is Tangjiatuo Station - Min'an Avenue Station - Chongqing West Railway Station - Jumping Station, stopping at Tangjiatuo, Toutang, Chongqing North Railway Station North Square, Min'an Avenue, Ranjiaba, Shapingba, Chongqing Library, Shangqiao, Chongqing West Railway Station, Jinjian Road, Huayan Center, and Jumping, with a total of 12 stations.
Why is the 3-line interconnection express more time-saving? According to reports, compared with ordinary cars, the third-line interconnection express stops 16 stations less throughout the whole process, considering the average waiting and transfer walking time, passengers can save 33 minutes of travel time.
That is to say, for rail transit with dense stations and complex line network, taking into account factors such as train stops and passenger transfers, from Tangjiatuo to Jumping, passengers should start from Tangjiatuo Station, the starting station of Line 4, arrive at Min'an Avenue Station, transfer to Chongqing West Railway Station, and then transfer to Line 5 to reach the final station. Taking the third-line interconnection express train, passengers can connect across the three lines without changing the train after getting on the train from Tangjiatuo Station, and it only takes 59 minutes to go directly to the jumping station, reducing the passenger transfer rate and greatly saving travel time.
It is reported that in order to facilitate the public to take the direct express train, the rail group has added 2 trains on the basis of the original two-line interconnection, with an average of 52 trains per day, and the departure interval is about 30 minutes, which does not affect the running time of ordinary cars. The first train from Tangjiatuo is at 6:44 and the last train from 19:49: the first train departs from Jumping At 6:46 and the last bus departs at 19:16.
