One day, I went to an anti-aircraft gun command post in a large cave on the hill. In the evening, when I came out of the command post and went down the hill, I opened my eyes and looked at it, but I was really surprised. The bottom of the mountain was shining, there were several exposed lights, and there was no air defense, and I thought to myself: Isn't this a joke?

One of the commanders laughed and said, "It's a bit careless." But it doesn't matter, the enemy plane did not dare to come, and came to beat it up. ”

This reminds me of many things. I remembered the frenzied appearance of the enemy planes when the volunteers had just crossed the Yalu River in the winter of 1950, flying close to the top of the mountain, like walking on a flat road, and sometimes their wings touched the poles of electricity; flying overhead, a storm suddenly took place, and the snow on the ground was expanded, burying everyone in a layer of snow. But now?

Now you see, at night, as soon as the robbers show their grimaces, the ground will spew out a red fireball, like fireworks, but also like a fountain, densely covering the sky of North Korea, and the birds can't burst through this net of fire. If it were daytime, you could see black smoke rising from the tails of enemy planes hit by anti-aircraft fire, drunkenly rumbling and somersaulting their heads, falling all the way down from the sky. If the pilot jumped down with a parachute, the ground troops should be busy taking the prisoners.

At one point, our anti-aircraft artillery caught an enemy air force officer. The officer knew the ceremony of surrender very well, first raised his hand to hand over his gun, honestly put on his torn hat for you to take a picture, and then considered the words and asked, "There are a few things I don't understand." Your troops don't make money, so why is morale so high? How can Chinese be so good as the North Koreans? I didn't expect you to play so accurately. ”

If you don't, you can be beaten off at once. The skill of our anti-aircraft gunners can be practiced so well, and it is indeed unexpected. They are all warriors from peasant origins, and it is not easy to master modern weapons at first glance. When I first started aiming, I often aimed badly, and sometimes I was hitting the enemy on the head, and the cannon was also strange, and it jammed without making a sound, or it could not be pressed into the shell. It really makes people break out in a cold sweat! But is there anything else in the world that can overwhelm Chinese people? Everyone practiced all day, and when they saw a black old bird appear in the distance, they also had to turn the steering wheel and grasp the target. Every time a battle breaks down, the food is not in the heart to eat, and they stay in the snow, frozen hands, frozen feet, and do not change places, they must find out what is wrong.

I saw a gunner named Yan Shukui, who was dumbfounded when he spoke, which was not surprising, but his deeds were strange. Once the enemy attacked our artillery position, and the position was so tightly covered with dust that nothing could be seen clearly. Yan Shukui heard the bomb falling, and he didn't care, he still grabbed his target. The storm set off by the bomb blew Yan Shukui and several other gunners down the cannon, and the whole soil was buried. The hygienist rushed to save him, but Yan Shukui said, "I don't care, you should go and save others first." Yan Shukui himself struggled with the soil, Guangjue felt that his hands were weak, his hair was confused, and his voice was small, and in the confusion, he asked: "How about the cannon?" Broken? "After taking a few steps, I fell. His head, his back, was hit by shrapnel and he had to go to the hospital.

But who can lie in the hospital? He missed the cannon, he missed his comrades in the company. As soon as his injuries were healed, he immediately ran back and got on the gun again. It's just that the arm is not working, and it is very inconvenient to turn the cannon. There is no way to fight. Yan Shukui remembered the instructor's words. Instructors often say, "There is no difficulty before communists. "If your arms don't work, you can practice them." He sat on the cannon, whimpered the steering wheel, trained his arms so sore that he forgot to eat. The company commander was afraid that he was tired and did not ask him to practice. He practiced stealthily. Every day, I get up dozens of minutes earlier than others and practice a breath. Taking a nap, he asked to be on duty and practiced for two more hours. After practicing for more than half a month, I was able to do it, and the shelling was flexible and accurate. Who knew that once, the commander suddenly found that he was deaf. How can a deaf person listen to combat passwords? He made an appointment with the gunner behind him, and if he shouted to the left, he would use his knees to push his left back and his right back to the right. The password was executed so correctly, and the cannon was so beautifully fired, who could tell he was deaf?

When I met Yan Shukui, I really couldn't help but admire his tenacious fighting spirit. Stoicism and tenacity are one of the great qualities that Chinese people are invincible. Our people have thoughts and beliefs, and with this unbridled fighting spirit, what force can stop us from moving forward?

The enemy does not understand this. For a while, the enemy played another trick, specifically at night with the "B-29" aircraft to bomb. The "B-29" type aircraft flew particularly high, the direction, the speed, the time, are calculated, as long as it flies to the place, without circling, immediately drop the bomb, wow wow like a wild storm, one after the throwing and then another, the bombing time is sometimes extended to four or five hours a night. The enemy planes flew too high and could not hit accurately. The enemy was pleased, buzzing high in the air, as if to say: See what else you can do?

That night, the bombing began again. Suddenly, I heard someone outside shouting, "Come out and see!" So I put on my shoes and ran into the yard.

Only to see the ground shoot out a few crossed searchlights, illuminating a deadly heavy "B-29" aircraft. The enemy plane flew slowly, and our searchlights slowly "escorted" it. Suddenly, a string of small red fireballs burst out from the dark sky and penetrated straight into the back of the enemy plane. Is this anti-aircraft fire? No. How come the anti-aircraft guns don't make a sound? Bullets should not come from above. Everyone was suspicious, and another string of red fireballs flew up obliquely from below and penetrated straight into the belly of the enemy plane. The enemy plane shattered, shattered to pieces, and burned into several fires. Slowly falling, the searchlight illuminated this wonder, so that the comrades on the ground saw a full.

The comrades on the ground all clapped their hands and shouted well. What's going on here? It turned out that our night aircraft had gone out, and in conjunction with the searchlight troops, this hand was revealed. The volunteer soldier shouted happily: "Give it a bunch of sugar gourds to eat!" "This night, right above our heads, our night flight was also very generous, sending the enemy a string of sugar gourds, and shooting down three B-29 aircraft in succession. From then on, the enemy did not dare to come. The volunteers, like a lovesickness, often chanted, "Come! Why didn't it come? "But the enemy did not dare to come."

In North Korea, it was many tenacious and stoic anti-aircraft gunners like Yan Shukui, and many brave and dexterous "little swallows" like this night aircraft, who formed a front with the Korean People's Army to guard the peaceful skies of northern Korea. The air force officer misestimated the strength of the Chinese and Korean people, and naturally he was going to be destroyed. Truman didn't have long eyes, and he deserved to have been knocked out. Eisenhower hasn't woken up yet, you wait and see, sooner or later you will be knocked out.
