The most direct cause of the demise of the Ming Dynasty was the military defeat, and Zhu Yuanzhang was just an emperor who was particularly knowledgeable about military affairs, which could be a good remedy.
There are many indirect reasons, such as natural disasters, military salaries and so on, which can be summarized as the problem of fiscal revenue, and behind the problem of fiscal revenue is the problem of political corruption.
At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the reason why the imperial court had no money, too little taxation, two-front battles, etc. were all problems, but the core was that as the middle class of officials and landlords were strong, like modern middlemen, frantically earning the difference.
