The Athletic reported on 26 December that former Blues captain Terry is interested in returning to Chelsea and taking up a position at the Academy.
Terry, who previously worked as an assistant coach at Aston Villa and left this summer, had hoped to find a suitable managerial job in England and had spoken to Ashley Cole and Paul Clement, also from Chelsea, but Terry had not received the right offers so far.
It is reported that Terry is expected to return to Chelsea next to take up a post at the Academy. His old team-mates Petr Cech (Chelsea's director of technical development), Cudicini (Chelsea's loan player development adviser) and Chelsea's youth director Bette pushed for Terry's return. Terry recognises that he may be struggling to receive an offer from a Premier League club at this stage, but he will continue to wait for a personal opportunity.
Previously, although Terry was associated with the coaching positions of Bournemouth and Bristol City, the two Championship clubs eventually turned to other goals.
