Of course not, when the above three situations occur in the vehicle, and the direction of the vehicle is generally only three places. One is that the owner keeps the car for himself, the other is to refine the vehicle and sell it as a boutique car, and the other is that the vehicle flows into the car dealership that specializes in defective cars.
And this is the case with today's customer, who has a jaguar XJ in his sights. However, before the car began to be tested, the customer had already sent me a test report that came with the car dealer directly, and said that the car condition was acceptable as described by the car dealer. The fixing screws on the left and right sides of the front cover have obvious disassembly marks, and the edge of the cover is gelatinous, and the paint value looks like there is not much of a problem, but the flaws on the surface of the cover show that it has been painted. Through various indications, it also shows that the original factory cover has left with the accident in front, and now this is obviously replaced.
The left A column was found in the inspector with putty repair thickness greater than 400 microns and repair length greater than 8 cm sheet metal repair. It should be known that the A-pillar belongs to the main structural part of the body, and if the deformation repair occurs, it is already an accident car. But considering that the customer already knows these things, it is not too surprised to continue the next test.
The inspection of the remaining paint surface in front of the left did not find any other special problems. Then the trunk was opened. The first thing found when looking down was that the fuse box behind had traces of fire and smoke, and the black and black around it was obviously left by the flames, but looking at the surrounding wiring harness and not finding any other problems, this problem was temporarily placed here. But is it really that simple? Let's move on.
Then in the position of the front side of the spare tire slot, the same blackening of the same model was also found. But the spare tire slot is made of iron sheet, and according to the traces, it is obvious that the burning below is more serious. So the spare tire slot should not be the place where the real fire starts. Further down the test is required.
The entire right side was inspected from the back to the front and found that there was sheet metal spray paint on each side, just slightly better than the left side.
After the appearance inspection, we turned our eyes to the engine compartment. A 3.0T 340 hp V-6-cylinder engine is mounted upright in the middle of the cabin. Since there was an impact in front of us, we first looked at the cabin frame structure and then looked at the engine later.
Although there have been accidents in the front, fortunately, there is no damage to the front longitudinal beam. The left and right longitudinal beams were inspected and did not find any traces of repair.
Due to the layout of the engine, there is not much information that can be obtained above, but it can also be seen that the valve chamber cover of the engine, the intake manifold, etc. have no disassembly marks, and no oil leakage and water leakage have been found. The rest can only be observed from below.
The oil and water are then tested. The brake oil and antifreeze are not in ideal condition and need to be replaced. Batteries also run out of battery due to long-term parking. Because there is no oil gauge reason can not observe the oil color, but open the oil cover to observe the engine inside the no greasy situation, indicating that the usual maintenance is still in place, but as a second-hand car to buy back the oil what should be changed or have to be exchanged, figure a peace of mind.
Next, it is the focus of our inspection today, to see the interior of this car, Jaguar XJ as a high-end business model, the interior configuration can be said to be very rich, the front and rear seats with heating ventilation massage and so on are supposed to have anyway. After inspecting the seat, I directly opened the trim plate outside the direction machine tube column, and the situation of the direction machine pipe column really surprised me, the direction machine pipe column was covered with thick rust, was it soaked in water?
Looking inside, it is found that the skeleton of the workbench is also white rust, because the workbench is all aluminum, so its rust and rust are not the same. At the same time, you can also find that the fixing screw next to it is not disassembled. And there is no sediment found in the interior. Although there is rust, it is not possible to arbitrarily conclude that the blister truck is always accompanied by sediment, but so far, no sediment phenomenon has been found.
The main seat skeleton also has traces of rust, but it is the same as the front table skeleton. Just simple rust did not find traces of sediment. Is it just a simple cleaning of the interior or the interior moisture rust caused by the leakage of the sunroof, rather than caused by water soaking? All the signs made me doubt my initial judgment, but soon the mystery was revealed below.
From the front to the rear, lift the seat as usual to examine the bottom skeleton and find the situation shown in the picture. The skeleton at the bottom of the seat and the iron plate at the bottom of the seat have all been burned black, and the skin of the seat at the edge has also been burned hard, and it can be broken off with a light break by hand. Seeing this can also explain the reason why the interior is so wet and rusty, mostly because the water sprinkled during the fire is in the interior, so it will cause the interior to return to moisture and rust.
Originally, I thought that after finding out that this car had a fire, the customer would choose to give up the car, but when I carefully told the customer about the situation of this car, the customer did not show any signs of decreasing his desire to buy in addition to feeling a little surprised, but leaked a stupid expression.
After inspecting the interior, it is time to drive the car out to inspect the chassis. outcome! The car is lying on its stomach, and it can't catch fire! After finding the seller to explain the situation, the seller also tried it and carried out some simple rescue measures, but it still had no effect and still could not catch fire.
The seller asked me what was going on, and I said that at present, the power supply has no effect, and the probability is that there is a problem with the line or a problem with the starting motor. The car dealer continued to ask me if I could solve it, I thought to myself that this matter is not carried out line check who dares to guarantee that it can not be solved, not to mention that if it can not be solved and then delay the detection is not good, with the current condition of this car, repair it may have more problems. After tossing and turning for more than half an hour, the car finally started normally, but when testing the function, it was found that the navigation could not be used, how to get no response, even if the flameout was started from scratch, there was no response. But the customer generously said that this thing is like this, and the time is not smart and occasionally crashes. Well, the big brother doesn't care, let's not dwell on this problem, and then prepare to test the chassis.
After the car is lifted up, it is obvious that there are slight oil leakage marks in the engine oil pan, but the engine oil pan does not have disassembly marks. Combining the previous test results of the engine can also know that there is no possibility of disassembly and maintenance of the engine. That's probably the only thing that comforts me about this car at the moment.
After less than 5 minutes of relief, it was found that although the engine had not been disassembled, the gearbox and engine connection screws, as well as the foot screws behind the gearbox, had disassembly marks. The transmission oil pan also had a serious oil spill. I think there should have been a disassembly of the gearbox to deal with something.
From the front to the back, I saw the brand new rear differential and the yuanbao beam, which I thought was a new one, and I was ready to praise the person in charge of the repair shop.
As a result, a closer look found that the rear differential and yuanbao beam were all repainted and refurbished. And this kind of operation, I believe you a ghost ah ~ ~
According to my previous experience of repairing cars, it is rare to refurbish the differential and the yuanbaoliang, after all, this is a bit time-consuming and laborious, and the new cost is not high. But after a thought, I figured it out, I have always had doubts about the fire marks in the spare tire slot, after all, looking at the traces is clearly burned from the bottom, and now I see the renovation process behind this can also be related to the previous suspicions. That is, the real ignition point should be the right rear position of the chassis, and the right rear seat and spare tire slot of the interior are all burn marks left by the chassis burning up and the temperature is too high.
Finally, the suspension part was tested, except for some normal disassembly and assembly, there were no other abnormalities. At this point, the inspection of the whole car is over, and it took more than four hours before and after, and the overall condition of the accident was burned. Maybe the average customer, seeing this type of car condition, has long given up.
