The second son of king Dingshen of the Qing Dynasty, Lambel, was a man of love. His father collected hundreds of guqins, and Lambelle was fond of this Cai Feng Mingqi, but unfortunately, during the Gengzi Rebellion, the Eight-Nation Alliance army that invaded Beijing looted everywhere, and the Cai Feng Mingqi that was stored in the County King's Mansion was plundered. For the next twenty years, Lambele was obsessed with the lost Rainbow Phoenix Mingqi. But at a party organized by the famous piano scholar Yang Zongji, Lambelle suddenly heard a familiar piano tone, which was the unique sound of Cai Feng Mingqi, whom he had missed for twenty years. The mountain flowing water met Zhiyin, thinking that his beloved guqin had such a good home as Yang Zongji, and his heart that had been hanging for more than twenty years was finally put down.
In 1932, before his death, Yang Zongji sold his collection of twenty-one guqins to the Kuomintang officer Xu Fu, including Cai Feng Mingqi, who later collected these guqins in his private garden, so that these priceless treasures could be well preserved in the face of war. Later, Xu Bao followed Chiang Kai-shek to Taiwan, and the guqins were quietly placed in his private garden, until the peasants who had a sense of protecting cultural relics found them and brought them to the Zhenhai Cultural Center in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.
