Xinglong coffee is known for its "strong but not bitter, fragrant but not strong, and long aftertaste". Traditional Xinglong coffee is roasted coffee. This roasting technique is the way the Southeast Asian Chinese simulate stir-frying, adding butter and sugar to roast the coffee, making the taste of the coffee more intense. Returned overseas Chinese brought this way of stir-frying back to Xinglong, which is also an important reason for the obvious difference between Xinglong coffee and other coffees.
