Night falls, and the lights come on. "Cruising" in the bustling city, looking out from the small car window, high-rise buildings, brilliant lights, taxi driver Su Biao can't help but lament the rapid change of the times.

Su Biao, 45, came to Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, from Dingxi City in Gansu Province in 1996 to work hard. After hard work, he and his wife contracted a taxi in 2010, and since then, the couple has pursued the happiness of their small family between the long roads and witnessed the rapid development of the city.

"I used to feel like I couldn't put down roots in the city no matter how much I 'stepped on the gas pedal', but I didn't expect to actually make a home here now." Su Biao said that last year he bought a house in Lanzhou, and his hometown in the rural areas of Dingxi also broke the shackles of poverty, and the family's life became more and more steadfast. "Through the radio in the car, we heard the resolutions adopted by the Sixth Plenary Session mention that 'letting the people live a good life is the starting point and foothold of all our work' and 'the growth of residents' income is basically synchronized with economic growth', and we have really felt these things."

Running a taxi is not an easy task, from one destination to the next destination, there are two things in the process of picking up passengers that make Su Biao busy "stealing fun".

The first is to drive on the riverfront road by the Yellow River every day and feel the ecological changes of the city: in spring and summer, the river is lined with trees and full of vitality; in autumn and winter, the yellow leaves and warm sun have their own hundred styles.

The second is to chat with passengers in the north and south, talk about the parents' short, listen to the life of Baiwei, and see the changes and aspirations of people in different periods on the car.

Su Biao said that in the past, there were often passengers who complained about the bad air and wind and sand in Lanzhou; some passengers complained about the expensive medical treatment and the difficulty of registration. Now passengers talk more about "Lanzhou Blue" and "Happiness Blue", and young passengers often talk about Internet entrepreneurship; elderly people always talk happily about fitness, tourism and children's lives. "People's sense of gain and happiness has increased significantly."

Su Biao's deepest impression is the improvement of people's sense of national and ethnic identity. From daily necessities to film and television works, passengers say in their mouths, hands, and wear more domestic goods, "our Chinese goods are not worse than imports."

In addition to running taxis, Su Biao has another "persistence". As a party member, he actively participated in public welfare undertakings, and the members of the Lanzhou Benma Rental Lei Feng Motorcade have been active in all corners of Lanzhou City for more than 7 years, providing quality services for citizens and helping vulnerable groups, leading everyone to learn from Comrade Lei Feng. At the critical moment of the fight against the epidemic, they also took the initiative to take on the task of transporting medical staff and delivering supplies, and whenever there was a need, they always rushed to the front. "In the face of the epidemic, the whole society has a united spirit, which attracts you to think of a force involuntarily." He said.

"Many passengers said, 'We in China still have the people in mind.'" In Su Biao's eyes, China's development is good and the times are changing rapidly precisely because the Communist Party of China is grasping the "steering wheel."

On the road of "refueling" and "speeding up" social progress, Su Biao is not alone.

Qian Shuai, a 33-year-old taxi driver, always has a smile on his face and a party badge pinned to his clean uniform. He still remembers that his first impression of party members came from the war movies he watched when he was a child, when he only knew that party members were the big heroes in it, and now he knows that heroes are ordinary people who are willing to dedicate, and he has the honor of being one of them.

Qian Shuai will clean up the car every day, in his view, as a party member in the taxi industry, it is necessary to provide every passenger with clean, safe and convenient services, "The resolution deliberated and passed by the Sixth Plenary Session said that 'our party comes from the people, takes root in the people, and serves the people', and also says that 'the party's foundation is in the people, the blood is in the people, and the strength is in the people', and we taxi drivers cannot be left behind." ”

"We have requirements for the safety, dress and service of taxi drivers, and the whole industry is becoming more and more standardized." Jin Xiang, secretary of the party branch of the Lanzhou Benma Rental Group of the CPC, said, "As mentioned in the resolution adopted by the Sixth Plenary Session, since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Party, 'the whole party has been more ideologically unified, more politically united, and more consistent in action', the leading role and cohesion of the party organization have become stronger, many party members always wear party member badges, and at every critical moment, party members will take the lead in facing difficulties, everyone is proud of their party membership, and they also firmly believe that 'the Communist Party of China is the core force leading our cause'. ”

Su Biao's sideburns have begun to whiten, but he is always full of energy, like a young man in his twenties, "The development of the times is like driving, as long as the party grasps the steering wheel, the front must be Kangzhuang Avenue." ”
