If you have cancer, you can only wait to die? No, even advanced cancer has the potential for complete remission. On the one hand, if advanced cancer is treated in a standardized manner, it can also effectively prolong survival and improve quality of life. On the other hand, medical means are changing with each passing day, targeted drugs, immunotherapy and other new drugs are emerging in an endless stream, and now many advanced cancer patients rely on new drugs to achieve objective relief or even complete remission, long-term survival.

Complete remissions generally fall into two categories:

(1) Spontaneous complete remission: There are many cases of spontaneous remission in the scientific literature, usually due to unknown reasons;

(2) Complete remission after treatment: This can be achieved through traditional therapies as well as new and alternative therapies, including supplements, reusable drugs, diets and other less traditional methods.

In this article, 10 cases of complete remission with supplements, reusable drugs, diets, and other less traditional treatments are presented.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="165" > calcium is of significant efficacy of calcium issobenzenesulfonate on non-small cell lung cancer</h1>

About 85 percent of lung cancer cases are classified as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including two major subtypes, adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, which account for 40 percent and 25 percent of NSCLC, respectively.

In this case report, a patient with squamous cell carcinoma of the lung was treated with inhaled diphenylsulfonate (dihydroxy-2,5 benzenesulfonate). The drug (500 mg, 2 times a day) is mixed with inhaled air in the form of a vaporized solution, administered in the form of an aerosol with an electronic instrument. After only 5 days of medication, the tumor mass was greatly reduced.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="164" > complete remission with germanium hemi-germanium oxide for lung spindle cell carcinoma</h1>

A 47-year-old woman was admitted to hospital for shortness of breath and cough. She was in good shape until 5 months ago when she noticed mild symptoms in the left lung area. CT chest shows left atelectasis, 3.4 × 3×4.5 cm.

Patients received two cycles of mesox sodium, doxorubicin, ifosfamide, and dacarbazine, but symptoms worsened and there was radiographic evidence of tumor progression. The patient chooses to stop all treatments.

Six weeks later, during a cruise ship trip, the patient met a man who claimed to have cured oat cell lung cancer, which he had diagnosed 15 years earlier, on his own every day with germanium he had been diagnosed with he had been.

Oat cell carcinoma (oat cell carcinoma) under the microscopy of small cell carcinoma of the lung, the cancer cells are small and short spindle or lymphocyte-like, some cells are spindle or polygonal, cytoplasm is small and resembles a bare nucleus. Typically, cancer cells are often slightly pointed at one end and resemble oat ear grains, which are called oat cell carcinoma.

Patients begin to use the same regimen (double-semi-semi-oxidized dicarboxyethyl germanium, 7.2 g / day, then gradually reduced the drug) daily self-medication.

CT scans of the chest at 5 and 7 months show that the lump in the chest is almost completely gone. After 4 years of initial diagnosis, the patient still showed no signs of recurrence and continued to take a low dose of germanium sesquiteroxide. The patient denied any significant side effects of her treatment.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="162" > low-dose thalidomide for complete remission after treatment of advanced liver cancer</h1>

This is a case report from the Liver Research Group of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Keelung, Taiwan and Chang Gung University School of Medicine.

A 65-year-old male with alcoholic cirrhosis was diagnosed with multiple hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Patients are assessed as inoperable and unsuitable for TACE or systemic chemotherapy.

After discussing the treatment options, the patient decided to receive treatment with a low dose of thalidomide (100 mg per day). After obtaining written informed consent, he agreed to receive thalidomide 50 mg twice daily and follow up on an outpatient basis.

Three weeks after thalidomide treatment, he occasionally complained of a rash and itching. Fortunately, follow-up liver biochemistry, serum fetal protein levels, and dynamic computed tomography showed that HCC was completely relieved after 4.5 months of thalidomide treatment.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="161" > statin, metformin, and melatonin completely alleviate adrenal cancer</h1>

The role of metformin and melatonin in adrenal cortical carcinoma: morphological proteomics and biomedical analysis provide proofs of concept in case studies.

This is a case report from UT Health McGovern School of Medicine and the Department of Biomedical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

A 31-year-old white woman who was initially diagnosed with adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC). She then began chemotherapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center, including doxorubicin, cisplatin, etoposide, mitotan, and methiradone, and the tumor shrank and was surgically removed by right adrenectomy and right hepatic resection.

However, a few months later, the ACC recurred and metastasized to the left liver and lower lobes of the left lung, and the recurrent tumor was resistant to standard chemotherapy.

At the age of 26, the liver metastases were removed by partial left hepatic resection and part of the liver metastases were analyzed morphologically. Treatment options were recommended for morphological proteome analysis, including statins, metformin (500 mg twice daily), and melatonin (20 mg once daily at bedtime).

After receiving individualized treatment recommended by morphological proteome analysis, the patient's cancer was clinically controlled, his health improved, and a family was formed.

During and after her pregnancy, she stopped taking statins, but continued to take metformin (500 mg 4 times a week) and melatonin (20 mg 3 times a week) as maintenance therapy.

At the age of 29, repeated scans found no signs of tumors. About 7 years after diagnosis, the patient returned to a healthy clinical life and continued to use melatonin and metformin as maintenance therapy to reduce the risk of recurrent disease.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="160" completely resolves stage IV head and neck cancer after drinking nano-silver solution ></h1>

A 78-year-old man was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Although he has received all routine treatments including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery, it is still evolving and metastasizing. After lung and liver metastases, the patient's internal organs function decreases and multiple recurrences occur.

After the diagnosis of metastatic disease, patients begin drinking nanosilver (AgNP) solution. After 3 months of pre-dying imaging, after initiation of ingestion of AgNP solution, it was revealed that all lung and liver metastases, as well as previously seen cervical lymph nodes, completely disappeared.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="159" > irbesartan in complete remission for metastatic colorectal cancer</h1>

Irbesartan is a drug used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure and diabetic nephropathy.

A 67-year-old woman with intolerable adjuvant chemotherapy and recurrence of colorectal cancer stage IV. Colorectal cancer genomic analysis and previous literature suggest that angiotensin blockers may inhibit partial colorectal cancer.

Backed by these findings, her doctors suggested that irbesartan could be a potential option because it could block the renin-angiotensin pathway.

Patients underwent a baseline PET/CT scan for pretreatment and began taking irbesartan 150 mg daily. She received PET/CT follow-up at 5 weeks and 3 months, respectively. Efficacy was assessed as complete remission (CR).

Before treatment, her carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) rose to 18; after 5 weeks of treatment, the value dropped to 3.1. The patient responded continuously for 10 months, at which point the CEA was 1.4.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="158" > EGCG completely alleviates chronic lymphocytic leukemia</h1>

The EGCG in green tea extract, i.e. glucocetechin gallate, has antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, anti-arteriosclerosis, antithrombosis, anti-angiogenesis, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor effects.

A 48-year-old man achieves complete remission after 20 years of taking green tea extract epigallocatechin-3-gallate for chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

At the age of 28, the patient presented with lymphocytosis, mild anemia, mild thrombocytopenia, and massive splenomegaly, for which splenectomy was performed. Over the next two decades, he suffered two symptomatic chronic lymphocytic leukemia-related events. The first occurred 12 years (40 years) after diagnosis, when the patient developed fever, night sweats, and moderate anemia. He was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia secondary to chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Patients refuse conventional treatment and switch to diet, exercise, and supplement regimens, and recover from autoimmune haemolytic anemia.

Patients were treated with curcumin, fish oil, vitamin D, skullcap, and most importantly epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), extracted from green tea extract. This is because the duration of remission occurred shortly after the dose of epigallocate-3-gallate was increased to 4 g per day.

Given that preclinical work suggests that curcumin may enhance the antitumor effects of EGCG, simultaneous use of curcumin may be relevant.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="156" > antiviral drugs completely relieve follicular lymphoma</h1>

A 44-year-old male who is treated with advanced follicular lymphoma for concurrent hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Surprisingly, after receiving treatment with sofosbuvir and ribavirin, both conditions were completely relieved.

From March to September 2014, patients received a 24-week course of sofobuvir (400 mg once daily) and ribavirin (1200 mg once daily).

In December 2014, computed tomography (CT) scans of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis found that the disease responded well. As of September 2016, the patient was in good condition with no clinical evidence of recurrence.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="142" > plant thyme completely relieves melanoma metastasis</h1>

A 73-year-old white woman was admitted to the hospital in April 1999 for multiple light blue skin nodules in her left leg, and the patient was graded AJCC III, but she rejected the doctor's recommended treatment plan for high-heat perfusion of phenylalanine chlorambus and interferon in her left leg.

But after a few weeks, all nodules gradually disappeared and histological examination confirmed that the skin metastases had completely subsided. The patient said she had been making herbal teas with dried thyme (ground leaves and stems) and applying topical compresses to the affected area. After 5 years of follow-up, the patient had no obvious signs of illness.
