The allocation of seats in the speed skating event at the Beijing Winter Olympics is determined by the points and athletes' best results in the four speed skating races (Poland, Norway, the United States and Canada) in the 2021/22 season.

The Chinese team achieved full participation in the women's event, and the specific quotas were: 500 meters (2), 1000 meters (3), 1500 meters (3), 3000 meters (2), 5000 meters (1), group departure (2), group chase (1). In individual events, the 1000 meters, 1500 meters and group departures were fully participated.

In the men's event, the Chinese team qualified for the 5000 m and 10,000 m except for the small events, the specific quota is: 500 m (2), 1000 m (2), 1500 m (2), group departure (1), team chase (1).

In addition, the Chinese team is in the top of the substitutes in the four events of the women's 500 meters, 5000 meters, men's 500 meters and 1500 meters, and if any players from other associations withdraw from the competition, Chinese players will have the opportunity to make up for the competition.
