Beitai is located in the southwest of Benxi City, in the ancient Korean tribute road, south through Qiaotou, Nanfen, Lianshan Pass to Dandong, until North Korea, to the west can pass through Hanling, Anping, directly to Liaoyang, this road, is the ancient Korea and China Liaodong important town of Liaoyang and important passage, the Taizi River tributary river also flows through the Beitai area, at the end of the Qing Dynasty, the bridge head also built a dock, Sishanling timber, mountain goods by raft through the fine river, the Prince River transported to the downstream Liaoyang to sell, the return is transported back to salt, cloth and other daily necessities, These contents are recorded in the "Fengtian Tongzhi" compiled during the Republic of China period, and are so meticulous that they use freight rates.
The origin of the Beitai place name can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. On the northeast side of the village, there is a double-peaked mountain that is uprooted from the flat ground, the bottom slope of the mountain is relatively gentle, and near the peak, the mountain rises suddenly, forming a victory of the north and south twin peaks, and the two peaks are high in the north and low in the south, and they are relatively close to each other. During the Ming Dynasty, a beacon tower was built on the north peak, and there were soldiers stationed to guard the platform, so the mountain was called Taishan. And because the beacon tower was built on the north side of the peak, it was called to go, and the name of the north platform was born. And continues to this day.

In addition, the local people of Beitai Village are accustomed to being called Beitai Baozi, in the dictionary, "Baozi" is interpreted as a defensive village with earthen wall protection, on the edge of Beitai Baozi, but 2 kilometers originally there was a village, called Ningjia Zhaizi, which is near the current Beiying Company No. 1 checkpoint, which is said to be the Tang Dynasty Xue Li zhengdong, stationed here, hence the name. The Korean tribute road turns westward toward Liaoyang here in Beitai, and it is reasonable to speculate that in ancient times, the Beitai area may have been stationed with barracks for defensive guards, which also managed beacon towers, guarded the river and tribute roads, and guarded against border people.
