After Wang Lihong's "melon" ended, I brushed "Color Ring" again, and after watching it, I had a nightmare for one night... It's a horror movie! Moreover, I found that Ang Lee's vision was really poisonous, and Wang Lihong played Kwong Yumin, which really complemented each other and was just right.
When Wang Jiazhi first met Kwong Yumin, he was seduced by his superficial aura.
In the chaotic world of exile, he was so white, righteous, warm, and full of idealism.
She has an "idol" filter for him.
Therefore, when he took the initiative to invite her to join the drama club, let her play the heroine, and lured her into danger in the name of the blood-boiling "revolution" and "justice", she could not refuse.
There is a scene in the movie where after their successful performance in the school drama club, a group of classmates go out to celebrate. On the bus, Kwong Yumin moved to talk to Wang Jiazhi.
It was Wang Jiazhi's "highlight moment."
What kind of girl is Wang Jiazhi? Her mother died, and her father took his brother to England, but left her behind. She was extremely poor, deprived and loveless. In front of a group of fashionable rich classmates, she originally had no sense of existence, but the stage gave her the treatment of the heroine, so that she felt the taste of the stars holding the moon.
On that day, the cigarette butts she smoked were robbed by everyone, and even Kwong Yumin took the initiative to come over and say "thank you", so that this girl who was originally gray and fluttering got the great satisfaction of vanity.
So she got into the play.
Another scene that impressed me was that the other members of the drama club were in the high stands, looking down on Wang Jiazhi.
Kwong Yumin shouted at her, "Wang Jiazhi, come up", she was a little frightened, a little confused and confused.
She just coveted the feeling of being a heroine, and her attitude towards their "revolution", including the subsequent assassinations, has always been an attitude of staying out of the matter.
She first joined the "organization" only because of the little filter and good feelings for Kwong Yumin, who of course knew that Wang Jiazhi liked him, but like other classmates, he seduced her, disciplined her, and used her as a pawn.
02
Kwong Yu-min was the organizer of the entire assassination operation, but under his awe-inspiring righteousness, he was extremely selfish and cowardly.
In the first action, he not only hid behind "Mr. Mai And Mrs. Mai", but the most unpleasant thing was that he let the most obscene Liang Runsheng sleep with Wang Jiazhi, on the grounds that only he had sexual experience.
In the second action, he was still using Wang Jiazhi's feelings for him, using more awe-inspiring feelings of home and country to persuade her and manipulate her.
He knew how dangerous it was for him to let her do something that would lose her head at any moment, but he could teach her to buy poison in the collar of her coat and be ready to sacrifice at any time.
In one last crucial action, he kissed her in the dim stairwell.
He already had a premonition that she was going to die, so he wanted to take the opportunity to leave himself with some lingering memories. However, in the process of circling and loving Mr. Yi, Wang Jiazhi has awakened.
So she said to him, "Three years ago, you could have. ”
Yes, Kwong Yu-min took advantage of her, abandoned her, and even looked down on her a little.
Wang Jiazhi's affection for him, after seeing through his selfishness, hypocrisy and cowardice, has long been transformed into a resolute hatred.
03
Therefore, Wang Jiazhi originally liked Kwong Yumin, but why did she let Mr. Yi go at the cost of her life?
When I wrote this film review three years ago, what I saw was Mr. Yi's love for her, and their pity for each other in the chaotic world at the end of the road.
When revisiting the film, I found that one of the bigger driving forces in Wang Jiazhi's heart was the hatred for Kwong Yumin.
He was the only bright light in her gray world, the white-clad fluttering teenager, but in the use of hypocrisy, and the treachery of "eating dry and wiping clean" and moral appearance, she saw clearly the absurdity of the world and the speculation of the human heart.
Thus, her only light was extinguished, and her sense of trust in the goodness of humanity and the world, utter despair and collapse.
In the final scene, before they are executed, Kwong Yumin's eyes are mixed with anger, blame, and surprise.
And Wang Jiazhi?
She has a sense of pleasure and peace that revenge has finally succeeded, a silence of "everything shattered to ashes", and a deep disdain and disdain.
04
Combined with Wang Lihong's own story, and then looking at the role of Kwong Yumin in "Color Ring", I found several interesting points.
First, there is an instinctive prejudice against the appearance of men and women.
What is this bias? That is, many people subconsciously feel that good-looking men will generally have better character and are "a table of talents". For beautiful women, there will be an instinctive vigilance, thinking that they are all green tea biao and fox essence.
So, a lot of people are more tolerant of handsome men and feel like they won't do anything bad because it's "not necessary".
Second, people who are "perfect" to the point of being free of flaws and flaws are the most hypocritical.
Real people must have flaws because they have desires and weaknesses.
Before Wang Lihong "collapsed", the biggest feeling I felt was that it was empty and boring, as pale and boring as the lyrics he wrote. Now we know how ridiculous and rotten the real life under the "perfect" shell is.
I don't think he's miserable, and such a "effect" is the "cause" he planted himself. I even wonder if he will be a little relieved and happy, because he will no longer have to live in the false shell of "perfection" and can be his true self.
Third, the strong against the weak sounding PUA is really very scary.
In the movie, Wang Jiazhi was undefended against Kwong Yumin at first, thinking that he looked so noble, righteous and awe-inspiring. In their relationship, she is the weaker party, promoted and guided by him, so she can easily enter his logic and context.
In reality, this is not the case. When the stronger side in a relationship, where money, status, resources, and insights are all stronger, trying to PUA the weaker side, it's easy for them to justify themselves and easily be convinced. Because people have the nature of Mu Qiang.
Finally, arrogant people are unable to look at themselves rationally and objectively.
In "Color Ring", in Kwong Yumin's last look, that sense of surprise and loss of control was that he would never have thought that Wang Jiazhi, who had admired him so much in the past, would betray him.
In reality, wang Lihong's collapse is the biggest reason, and it is not, the arrogant controller underestimates the determination of the "desperate housewife" to take revenge.
