It is said that experts unearthed more than 2,000 rare treasures when cleaning up the underground palace, among which the shakyamuni Buddha finger bone relics unearthed can be called Buddhist holy relics, and the eight treasure letters unearthed successively are also the most important discoveries, he was identified as the gift of Tang Yizong, which is the highest level of relics found so far. As a result, Famen Temple has historically become a Buddhist shrine that the whole country looks up to.
In addition to the shakyamuni Buddha's finger bone relics, experts have found more than 120 pieces of gold and silverware, which are very elaborately made and are ancient royal objects. The 14 pieces of Tang court secret color porcelain found in the underground palace are the earliest secret color porcelain discovered in China so far, coupled with thousands of silk fabrics found in the underground palace and treasures such as Tang Dynasty tea sets, future generations all lament the prosperity of ancient China. And the shock that this makes future generations feel stems from the prosperous dynasty in China's history - the Tang Dynasty.
According to historical records, Famen Temple was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, successively known as Ashoka Temple and Chengshi Dojo, and changed to Famen Temple during the Tang Dynasty. For generations, Famen Temple has been regarded as a Buddhist shrine, but the emperors of the Tang Dynasty attached great importance to Famen Temple. After the collapse of Famen Temple in 1981, experts unearthed more than 2,000 rare treasures from the Tang Dynasty, which were placed in the underground palace because of the Tang Dynasty.
It is said that in the more than 200 years of the Tang Dynasty, the emperor of the Tang Dynasty opened the first case in history to welcome the Buddha's true body to the imperial palace, and each welcome and sending event was huge, and this was also the most prosperous period of Famen Temple, so Famen Temple was known as the Pagoda of the True Body of the Protector of the Country.
In the subsequent Song Dynasty, Famen Temple also continued the glorious momentum of the Tang Dynasty, but from the Ming and Qing dynasties, Famen Temple was repeatedly damaged by earthquakes and gradually declined. In 1981, Famen Temple collapsed after thousands of years of wind and rain, and in the cleanup of archaeologists, the glory of the Tang Dynasty period and the important position of Famen Temple in history were unveiled.
Nowadays, the treasures unearthed in the underground palace have become the evidence of the prosperity of China's Tang Dynasty and are important protected cultural relics in China.
