Qianlong ben artificial image old photos first discovered!
At today's press conference, Liu Yang, vice president of the Beijing Shidi Folklore Society, officially donated to the Yuanmingyuan a full-body photo of Manjushri Bodhisattva in the Wenshu Pavilion of Zhengjue Temple, which was taken in the Wenshu Pavilion of Zhengjue Temple, which was the first time that an old photo of Qianlong's own artificial image was found.
At that time, the Qianlong Emperor was often revered as Manjushri Bodhisattva by foreign kings and foreign envoys because of his outstanding martial arts, and Qianlong himself also respected the Manjushri dojo, so he built a Manjushri Pavilion at the Zhengjue Temple in the Yuanmingyuan and enshrined Manjushri Bodhisattva. It is said that this statue of Manjushri Bodhisattva was built based on the image of the Qianlong Emperor himself. After 1860, the statue of Manjushri Bodhisattva was destroyed during the warlord melee.

The first old photograph found clearly shows Manjushri Bodhisattva riding a green lion, with a total height of 3 zhang, two children standing on the left and right, the lion slave on the left and the Vedic on the right, both eight feet high. The statue of Manjushri Bodhisattva and its backlight are all wooden gold-clad, the lion and the two children are multicolored gold, and the base is a white jade platform. This photo is one of the only four remaining photos within the mountain gate of Zhengjue Temple, which can verify the accuracy of historical records, make up for the academic gap, and have a vital reference value for the study and restoration of the Wenshu Pavilion of Zhengjue Temple.
Lianxi Music
Lianxi Le is one of the forty scenic spots of the Yuanmingyuan, with nine bays in the back and five bays in the front, and the scale of the main hall is the largest single building in the Qianlong period. The newly released photograph of an adult in front of the nave, by way of proportions the size of the building and the size of the nave can be calculated.
Fish leaping kites fly
One of the forty scenic spots of the Yuanmingyuan, the Fish Leaping Iris Fly, was not destroyed by the British and French forces, but was destroyed by the war in 1900. What exactly does the fish leap away from the kite? There has never been any historical information before. If archaeological excavations of fish leaping kites are carried out in the future, this photo has important reference significance.
Shunmu day
Among the older generation of experts, there is a huge controversy about whether the building of Shunmutian really exists. Because in the Qianlong map that can be found before, the record of Shunmutian is a circle, but there is no reference to what this circle looks like, and some experts believe that it is a platform that is not called a pavilion. The discovery of this old photo makes people understand the appearance of Shunmutian at a glance, and the three words "Shunmutian" of Qianlong Yubi can be clearly seen in the photo.
Haiyue open placket
Haiyue Kaiyuan is a building on the island in the middle of the lake in the Yuanmingyuan. In 1860, when the British and French forces burned the Yuanmingyuan, all the ships were burned down, and it was impossible to enter huxin island, so all the huxin island buildings in the yuanmingyuan were preserved. The Haiyue placket was destroyed in the war around 1900.
Old photographs show that the Haiyue Placket was a two-story building, but previous archives recorded that it was a three-story building, which means that the Haiyue Folio was remodeled during the Daoguang or Jiaqing periods. When will the haiyue opening be rebuilt? Why the renovation? The discovery of old photographs provides a topic for future research.
Anyou Palace
Anyou Palace is located in the northwest corner of the Yuanmingyuan. From the old photos, it can be seen that the Anyou Palace was almost well preserved after the Anglo-French army burned the Yuanmingyuan in 1860, and the white jade handrail outside the building can be faintly seen being vandalized. Another photo shows that the stone qilin at the entrance of Anyou Palace is well preserved, and the pair of stone qilins exist on the campus of Peking University.
Sher Acropolis
As can be seen from the old photos, the archway of the Shewei City at that time has been destroyed and the duty room has been burned, but the city gate has basically been preserved.
After enlarging the photo, you can also see the three words "Shewei City" on the city gate, which is the only photo of Yongzheng Yubi found so far. In addition, the clip stone of the Acropolis in the old photograph is an isolated case, and there are no similar remains so far.
Haiyan Tang Horse Head
HaiyanTang Ma Shou returned to the Yuanmingyuan on December 1 last year. Previously, the earliest information on the horse head in the Yuanmingyuan can be traced back to 1985. Today's press conference showed the horse's head, which was filmed in 1884, bringing forward the earliest data of the horse's head by more than 100 years. Comparative photographs show that the horse's head was largely intact after it was lost.
