China's poverty reduction code

author:China Jilin Net

Keshan disease is an endemic cardiomyopathy that has been raging in northeast China for hundreds of years. After the founding of New China, several generations of medical workers worked together to basically control Keshan disease. Now experts from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Center for Endemic Disease Control are continuing to search for the culprit of Keshan disease.

Jiang Kaiyi, who lives in Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province, loved to sing since he was a child, but Keshan's illness shattered his dreams. For more than 40 years, under the continuous testing and medical assistance of the government, Jiang Kaiyi's Keshan disease has been effectively controlled, and he participated in professional vocal studies at the age of 51 and took the stage.

On February 28, Xinhua News Agency's large-scale documentary "China's Poverty Reduction Code" was launched. From East Africa to South Asia, from Heilongjiang to Hainan Island, from Tibet to Hangzhou, although the protagonists in the film are thousands of miles away, they are all struggling to get rid of poverty. China's code for poverty control not only reflects institutional advantages, but also contains grassroots wisdom, and provides a vivid model for poverty reduction in the world. Tune in.
